I made a purchase online about 6 hours ago, I just found a forum about the website being 'sketchy'. . .?

How do I cancel my order? I cannot find anything in the confirming email about it.

Update:

It is a website called need4digital.com.. I found stuff about it online and they are definitely bad business. People say to call and threaten them. The main problem everyone is running into is products being shipped without original packaging and accessories, also that they tack on all sorts of other charges after telling you what your cost is going to be. I found multiple forum postings saying the same thing: they wanted to charge me way more for shipping taxes and when i tried to cancel, they hung up. So.. .

I paid with my mastercard.

if the company won't speak to you I suggest you call your credit card company they will close the account and give you a new credit card number. It will be your responsibility to update any payments you make with your current credit card.

First of all, check to see if it is legitimate, when page was updated etc. You could also look it up on the better business bureau (BBB). If something shows up then check reviews, rating, credentials. If nothing shows up, then it could be a dangerous website. Most sale websites don't have pop-ups. As far as I am concerned you can't cancel an order with limited information I have right now. How did you pay? Paypal?Credit card?. As for just a forum post it could just be a freak event.

I remember reading a forum post saying someone got scammed from a website. But I bought something from it and I received it. Did you get a bill in the email confirming your purchase? A scam website would never give you a bill. Also legitimate sale websites are a lot easier to find than illegitimate.

A few websites you can trust.

    Newegg.com

    Tigerdirect.com

    Amazon.com

    buy.com

    ebay.com

    ncix.ca

    criticalcables.com

    etc, etc, etc.

I ordered a from a website of a local store in my area, didn't get an email and nothing was charged when I checked my balence.

Also this is the most emphasized thing. Make sure all your information is correct. If information is incorrect you may not get your order.

    Edit:

That website is very deceptive, how much did you pay? Everything there is over $100, that's alot for a DVD player. if you are using a credit card phone them up and tell them. If you are using paypal you can go into your account and cancel the payment.

Tell your Mastercard co. to not pay them. Research online sites before you buy, not after. There are a lot of very good online stores and there are even more crooks and scammers.
