CB - Midland 4001 Not Receiving?
I have a Midland 4001 (UK radio). The audio amplifier recently blew up, which I have replaced with another one. The audio now works and the radio will transmit, but for some reason it will not receive. Does anyone know what I might need to replace in this radio to be able to fix the problem? I have the circuit diagrams. Everything on this radio works fine, except the receive. Thanks!

how did you test this??
It could be a bad antenna.
it could be a bad TX/RX change over (sometimes a relay, more modern would be PIN diodes)
Did you plug an external speaker into the speaker jack to rule out a blown audio amp?
TX audio is generated by the same amp that is the receive audio, do the radio transmit audio?
Do you see a received signal on the S meter? if not, the problem could be the detector, or discriminator in a FM radio.
In the US, they just throw these away, it costs more to repair than to replace.
