Beginning of the universe is Islam?

Can I have some explanation about how this universe was created, in the point of Islamic views? How did things begin in the early time? Thank you very much.

    1. The Origin of the universe is described in the Quran in the following verse:

"He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth."

    (Quran 6:101)

This information given in the Quran is in full agreement with the findings of contemporary science. The conclusion that astrophysics has reached today is that the entire universe, together with the dimensions of matter and time, came into existence as a result of a great explosion that occurred in no time.

This event, known as "The Big Bang" proved that the universe was created from nothingness as the result of the explosion of a single point. Modern scientific circles are in agreement that the Big Bang is the only rational and provable explanation of the beginning of the universe and of how the universe came into being.

Before the Big Bang, there was no such thing as matter. From a condition of non-existence in which neither matter, nor energy, nor even time existed, and which can only be described metaphysically, matter, energy, and time were all created. This fact, only recently discovered by modern physics, was announced to us in the Quran 1,400 years ago.

    2. The Big Bang

"Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before We clove them asunder, and We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?"

    (Quran 21:30)

The word ratq translated as "sewn to" means "mixed in each, blended" in Arabic dictionaries. It is used to refer to two different substances that make up a whole. The phrase "we unstitched" is the verb fataqa in Arabic and implies that something comes into being by tearing apart or destroying the structure of ratq. The sprouting of a seed from the soil is one of the actions to which this verb is applied.

Let us take a look at the verse again with this knowledge in mind. In the verse, sky and earth are at first subject to the status of ratq. They are separated (fataqa) with one coming out of the other.

Intriguingly, when we remember the first moments of the Big Bang, we see that a single point included all the matter in the universe. In other words, everything, including "the heavens and earth" which were not created yet, were included in this point in a condition of ratq. This point exploded violently, causing its matter to fataqa and in the process created the structure of the whole universe.

When we compare the expressions in the verse with scientific findings, we see that they are in perfect agreement with each other. Interestingly enough, these findings were not arrived at until the 20th century.

    3. The Expansion of the Universe

"And it is We who have constructed the heaven with might, and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it."

    (Quran 51:47)

The word "heaven", as stated in this verse, is used in various places in the Quran with the meaning of space and universe. Here again, the word is used with this meaning. In other words, in the Quran it is revealed that the universe "expands". And this is the very conclusion that science has reached today.

Until the dawn of the 20th century, the only view prevailing in the world of science was that "the universe has a constant nature and it has existed since infinite time". The research, observations, and calculations carried out by means of modern technology, however, have revealed that the universe in fact had a beginning, and that it constantly "expands".

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Russian physicist Alexander Friedmann and the Belgian cosmologist Georges Lemaitre theoretically calculated that the universe is in constant motion and that it is expanding.

This fact was proved also by observational data in 1929. While observing the sky with a telescope, Edwin Hubble, the American astronomer, discovered that the stars and galaxies were constantly moving away from each other.

A universe where everything constantly moves away from everything else implied a constantly expanding universe. The observations carried out in the following years verified that the universe is constantly expanding.

This fact was explained in the Quran when that was still unknown to anyone. This is because the Quran is the word of God, the Creator, and the Ruler of the entire universe.

    (10) He established His dominance over the sky, which (for that time) was like smoke. Then He told the heavens and the earth, "Take your shape either willingly or by force" They said, "We willingly obey". (11)He formed the seven heavens in two days and revealed to each one its task. He decked the sky above the earth with torches and protected it from (intruders).. Such is the design of the Majestic and All-knowing God". (12)

ask any since the binging of the universe was smoke and vapor how mohammad knew it was smoke this quran miracles

There was never a beginning, time is infinite and forever in all directions. The universe has always been here.

However in our part of the universe there is outwards movement of the galaxies.

It varies, we only know for certain what is in the Qur'an the rest of the story is personal opinion.

We know based on the Qur'an that life was made out of water and that even today God is amending his creations with love. He is called al-Bari or the Evolver.

It also states that God created the universe from a state where a gaseous mass exploded outward like a rose shaped explosion.

Most Muslims are not opposed to science the way other faiths tend to be, in the Islamic point of view Science helps prove God and the Qur'an rather than discredit it like what happened with the Bible in the Middle Ages.

It states God fashioned Adam from clay, not to be taken literally but more as a symbolism to forming just like one would make something out of dust or clay. Adam was designed to be the king of the humans. We vary in this portion of the story as well. Many believe that Adam wasn't the first human but rather the first earthly king and prophet. God created man his finest creation to control all other things he has created but we have one down fall we cannot control ourselves. A djinn by the name of Iblis becomes the first Shayitan when he refuses to acknowledge man as superior. The angels at first didn't but God showed them that he knows things that they knew not. Iblis being a djinn rather than an angel like in the other versions of this story allows him to have free will. The Qur'an also states that God knew about Iblis and in fact provoked him into his rage.

Iblis sought out to destroy the humans' favor with God by playing their weakness, themselves. Iblis sought out not to become God like in the other versions of the story but rather to discredit God as existing or as the rightful recipient of our worship. God once destroyed the home world of the djinn for this very reason but spared a few bringing them to heaven like Iblis, apparently because he was once a pious being of God.

That is the creation of man, shaitan, and the universe.

It is said only God knows the whole story and that only he knows when time will end. God says the universe will end like a closing of a book or in other words fall in on itself. Some look at it as the universe falling back into the big bang location, a possible scientific theory. Others look at it as the universe will be its own destroyer. Anyway you look at it that when the end will come only God knows and that it will happen swiftly like the closing of a book.
