I'm not racist, but I can't seem not to hate muslims. What do I do?

I do respect all religions and cultural groups, but seriously man muslims are kind of full of ****.. girls are killed cuz they are dating some1, they gotta wear burkas, curtains or something else in their heads cuz they are not to be seen by anybody else different that their husband they met at the wedding...Here in Canada this guy killed her daughter cuz she was not wearing the thing in the head..WTF? and news like that you hear quite often..

LIke i said i respect all beliefs, but thats a little bit extremist I think..

I've answered this question before for someone else, so im going to give you the same answer i gave him. You probably just do racial profiling. Do you not like the Black Muslims too? If you do, then you hate an entire religion because of some extremists which is stupid. If you don't, you're still an asshole. Don't blame an entire faith because of a bunch of nutcases. To further prove my point, I'll go back to the Crusades. When the Christians tried to take back the Holy Land, they brutally butchered, and even ATE some of the muslim people there. Would you go ahead and say that the whole Christian faith back then ate people? Every muslim doesn't hate America. Every muslim doesnt behead people.

Ok if you only hate the religion, then no, you aren't racist. Religion has always been, since the most ancient civilizations, a way to govern the people. Christians/Catholics at more than one point in history, went on holy crusades against other religions that lasted for decades at a time. This was to claim what was called their holy land and forcefully impose Christ on everyone. So they too thought you didn't deserve to live if you weren't a follower of their god. Today we live in a country where unless you believe in Christ, you can never be president, and people are deeply offended if you say that this isn't a Christian nation. This is supposed to be a nation born on the freedom of religion, yet the power of the church made sure that it isn't. If you ask Christians certain questions I'm sure you'd get the same response that you did from the Muslims. So how do you single out the Muslims and no other religion unless it is the race of the people that practice it?

Last time I checked, it was still a "free" country, where they allow certain hate groups (such as the KKK and the Nation of Islam) to exist, despite their hate-speech, so go ahead and hate whomever you choose to. Personally, I hate government, religion, and all forms of restriction/regulation, wherein someone tries to force their opinions upon others. In a few decades all the oil will be gone, and with it the oil-rich will lose their stranglehold upon the rest of society, and what will happen then? (The Saudis, Kuwaitis, Persians, and Dick Cheney too, but the Rothschilds still control the banking cartel, and they own Obama and Putin...)

hating muslims is NOT racism because Islam is not a race or an ethnic group. I am an ex muslim and I have a hard time not hating them for the same reasons. However, hate is not good for you, you should try to think of muslims as good people who do bad things and not even all the time.

it's not being racist unless you don't appear to be too hatefull without any good reason, disliking specific groups of people is perfectly normal.

your reasons seem reasonable,many of us muslims are unable too answer a LOT of simple questions about their religion.

when our parents are muslims we are born muslims , so , if these children close their minds to certain ideas from other religions they become what you described, they actually get mad when you ask them questions they are unable to answer.

but there are other types of muslims too,those who want to learn about the religion of their parents and chose it with open minds, and , to these people , you can always openly critisize Holy Quoran and maybe you'll get the answers your mind seeks.

anyways,there's always a great deal of difference from those who think vividly and those who don't. you said "They say you d better believe whatever we say or you have'nt right to live", I think it's a little over doing it, if we all truly and faithfully believe in God we must know that only he himself gives us the right to live, which he gives to everyone! :-)

Believe it or not,Islam is a beautiful religion, if people truly follow it's rules and basics we will find a world full of peace,freedom and justic , but , to be honest I must admit that the majority of Islamic poplulation don't seem to obey any essential rule.

and, the last thing I want to say is that it's easy to hate Muslim people,most of the time many of them are agressive and rude and want to make a fight, but, if you get enough information about Islam itself you can't help loving it.trust me ! :-)

I'm not going to act like a priest and preach you to be patient or to respect every ideology and opinion. I'm just going to tell you to never let a person make you so weak to hate him/her. I see no reason to tolerate some one who is making your life miserable. All I know is that if the regime in Iran changes, Iranians would have the potential to change for better.

It cannot be racist to hate people for ideology or relgion. Bigotted maybe but apparently some of those public school kids don't know what racism is or where to find out.
