1986 porsche fuel injectors not allowing fuel through?
OK YES THERE IS FUEL! I have done all the checks listed in the manual. the injectors open when I check them with 12 volts and they do pass fuel from the rail. There is proper pressure and flow at the rail. the resistance across the injectors is within tolerance. It has an aftermarket alarm that is not tied into the electrical of the engine. I have spark to the plugs. the problem is that I am not getting the proper Ground signal from the DME one side of the injector gets 12 plus volts and the other when cranking gets min of 10.5 volts the diferential is not enough to open the injector. what else is there in the circuit that would cause this. I have also checked electrical connections.

This is for the 924/944/968 models. Asking in the Pelican site will direct your question to more hobbiests who have experience working on their own cars and lots of input from professional mechanics.
Good luck.

Alright man, check your DME relay. Its possible you have a bad relay, cracked solder joint. Try tapping on the unit while starting the car, if it starts your relay is bad. If not your relay could still be bad. At that point you can remove the relay and install jumper wires in its place. Be sure to remove the wires so your DME doesn't stay on.
Chack out http://www.clarks-garage.com/ and scroll down to the DME relay heading, click on technical information and testing and you'll get the jumper wire instructions.
