Lien and Tenancy in Common?

I co-own a condo with my partner by tenancy in common. If he got a lien on the condo, how does it affect me? What if the lien is greater than his share of the current value of the condo?

The lien is on the whole thing, there is no halvies.

This effects you in that the condo can not be sold or refinaced until the lien is paid.

If your tenant in common, he has no "share" of the value...he owns the entire value, just like you. The lien effects you both equally.
