Untitled, yet finished. Care to comment?

You went to jail

after giving others hell

and you think you'll

get away scott free

how many times

must they put you in there

before you finally see

you're wasting your life

lost a family and a wife

to this thing you call

friendly drinking

well it's not fair

to try and put me where

others before me have been

i'm glad you're in jail

enjoy the hell

of waiting to be set free

as my son and I

move on with our lives

and remember only happiness

not your drinking

dedicated to an ex best friend of mine who finally got what he deserved after being on probation and breaking it more than once....I really know how to pick em....lol

Thanks, everyone. I didn't expect such a overwhelming response to this one. I admit, I used to drink, but nothing like this guy. He was arrested a month ago, his mother and sister moved his stuff out of his apartment 2 days ago, said he's gonna be gone 6 months to 6 years depending on if there are other charges against him.

    When they don't care enough to help themselves, there isn't much more one can do but walk away. Pray and love but walk away.

    It amazes me how often friendly drinking breaks out in knife fights and gunfights. Only outright crime generates more violence among its participants and there is usually alcohol involved in crime as well.
