Foot Tattoos and Dry Skin...?
I have a tattoo on my foot, I love this thing to death. I also have extremly dry skin and Im having alot of problems with it. I have had it retouched 3 times now and all of a sudden it feels really scabby and parts of it have blood scabs. Its really rough and looks like it has no color. I want to know if there is anything that I can do so I can get it healed up so I can get it retouched for a 4th time.
I had to retouched about a month ago and I do where suncreen on it and keep it mositurized!!
I just went with my mom today to the same artist that did my foot and he and 2 other artist are confused and not sure what to do!

There are salves made specifically for tattoos that have olive oil and beeswax for a base. Try to find something like that. What I'd recommend most, though (this saved my sister's tattoo) is pure Vitamin E oil. You can find it at most health food stores.

Moisturizers are definitely the way to go, preferably something without any added fragrances/chemicals that may irritate your skin. On all of my tattoos i've actually just gone out and gotten the most basic chapstick you can find. You can just keep it in your pocket and throughout the day apply it to the tattoo. This works really well because you can keep it moisturized throughout the day when its healing.
Also just be cautious of foot tattoos, they need extra care because they are on a sweatier part of your body that is in contact with shoes/socks. The same goes for the palms of the hands. These are going to fade faster and more frequently than other locations on the body.

don't be freaked out, but if i were you i'd go to see a dermatologist because what you just described sounds like psoriasis to me. on a more optimistic note, i'd use something with cocoa butter or shea butter or aloe, or all of the above. the classic Palmer's lotion is great. maybe you will need something better than that, prescription level.

Yeah, they have some medicated foot creams that help a lot. my mom used to have really dry feet and she put this cream stuff on her feet. they smell a little and are kinda expensive but they work really well. hope i helped a little : )

the dummies dnt kno wat there talkin about vvvv
well if u got it done not to long ago then its fine cuz for the first 2 months it is always scabby and dry.
ur also always supposed to put sunscreen on before u go out because the sun gets to it and takes out the color.
just moisturize it daily. and keep an eye out for it for about a month. if it dosnt seem to get better go to ur local tatto parlar and ask them what they think.

"Eucerin" lotion works wonderfully for tattoos. Mine on my foot healed SO fast using it, same with my boyfriends on his ribs.
