Does your cat do the "helicopter" move?

At times, my cat will jump straight up, and while in the air, rotate his body so that when he lands, he lands in the same spot, but his paws are in a different location. Anybody else's cat do that?

What do YOU call it?

Update:

Actually, that's his mother in the avatar picture.

Update 2:

Backflips? I imagine a gymnast doing mat exercises/tumbling. I've never seen that...but I can imagine what that would look like...pretty funny!

Update 3:

Everyone's answer is the best answer, as far as I' m concerned, so I'll leave up to others to vote on best answer.

Mary Ann, my calico, does this all the time when she tries to catch a fly in the house.

My two boys could care less, but Mary Ann just hates anything that flies in my house. I used to think she had a mental problem, but as I watched her, and followed her, I found that she was chasing flies and even mosquitoes...

Probably not what you were looking for, but I had to share.. .;)

Lol that's really funny. My friends cat (around 10 months) does back flips, but I've never seen him do that. Sounds like you have a happy healthy friend on your hands :D

My baby did that a lot when she was a kitten. But she stopped as she grew up. I think its really cute when they do that. They kind of bounce.
