Will I be able to know what the sex of my baby is at 12 1/2 weeks?

I've heard multiple times that it's possible but not completely accurate then because boy or girl will look like a boy. Girls can be swollen.. there clitoris can be swollen and look like a penis, so they might take a guess, but they will tell you it's not accurate just yet. Good luck! ( Idk why all these people are telling you no, it IS possible, not completely accurate but still possible, google it, many people have had this done & 12 weeks is when the organs form)

I think 16 weeks is the earliest to know but more like 18 to 20 weeks.Some hospitals also will not tell you the gender of the child (happened to us with baby 2 several times before someone told us we were having a girl).

Here in australia they have places where you can pay just to get ultrasound photos (3D) and they are always willing to tell you the gender from 16 weeks on.

No. I don't think so. I have an ultrasound at 13 weeks and they can't even tell the sex of my baby..

Just be careful. I was told that I was having a girl up till my 8th month. I just found out that i'm having a boy.OOPS!! I had all the girl stuff ready to go and gave away all my 2 year old sons clothes. So nothing is definite until the baby is born. Congrats ;)

no you wont be able to tell until 20 weeks or up because while the organs for the sex are there they are too small to detect at this point and less accurate to be determined.

I have heard of people finding out the sex at 14 weeks, but i think your 19/20wk scan will be more definate

They usually try to determine the gender around 20 weeks. I know its hard to wait that long, but trust me it's worth the wait.
