cost-free adoption, does it exist?
Is there anywhere in the world where adoption is completely free?
There are so many children out there who need so much more than a 'sponsorship'. It frustrates me to see them on commercials and not be able to physically reach out to them with arms of love and the personal attention they obviously need, that is seldom found at 'institutional orphanages'.

Speaking as someone who was adopted instead of aborted, and as the sibling of five other girls and one boy who were all adopted out as babies instead of aborted (we all found each other in the last year), I think it's WONDERFUL and beautiful what you want to do and your heart toward children. It is such a need.
There are other ways, I would think, than to go through an organization. Couldn't you just GO to places/countries with a lot of orphans on the streets and get to know some on a personal level and then invite them into your home as family? If you sought out children and formed relationships with them---well then, they'd want to walk right into your heart. And bypass all the legal whatnot, paper work and money! :D

Yes, foster care adoption is the only option you have for a cost free adoption. And there are so, so many children in this country that need adopting.
Yes, there are also children in third world countries that need homes, but there's no way around the legal fees involved.

It certainly does exist. In most areas of North America, and other countries too perhaps, foster care adoptions are free (or mostly free). In Feb 08 my wife and I took custody of a 4 day old foster child and her adoption was done 6 months later, all without costing us so much as 1 cent. Totally and 100% free of charge to us because it was a foster care adoption.
Even our international adoption was only 800 US vice 40k or so because we were living out of the country at the time we adopted.
It all doesn't have to cost big bucks if you know how to do it.

"cost-free adoption, does it exist?"
Tax payers foot the foster care adoption bill - none of it is "free".
A handful of states pay foster care adoption fees, especially for the older or special needs children, but some states only offer some sort of reimbursement.
Many who foster care adopt like to say they didn't pay fees when in reality the state either partially reimbursed their paid fees or they did have to pay lawyers fees.

We can not just go somewhere and take home kids without the paperwork. Paperwork--documentation protects and and gives us legal rights--don't even think about that avenue--it's called something else.
Yes as one of the other posters said foster to adopt is free and in some places you have some one who can advise you on all aspects of fostering and adopting---like around the clock--like me .lol. Why not call your state agency and inquire about the foster to adopt classes in your area, ask to speak to the licensing worker of your area. Good luck and god bless as the need for more and more foster homes is needed due to abuse and drug use of parents.

I don't think so. I know it seems logical, but you have to realize that the agency or goverment usually pays for all the medical expense and care for the baby. So they would lose tons of money if they were to offer free adoption.

Impossible. Kids cost a bloody fortune to raise. ;)
