How do you think Universal Healthcare will effect Healthcare Careers?
Some say that there will be loss pay due to the payscale being reformed too, some think that it will be higher due to demand. Also, what role will the Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants play? (Please don't let answers get out of hand..)

Doctors who complete residency have a huge debt to pay for education and living expenses. There should be an incentive for doctors who complete their education and desire to work in health care. The government should pay for all of their educational expenses.
Thus they cannot charge huge fees for their efforts. Also the government should supply US medical manufacturing firms monies for R&D keeping down the costs for new medical equipment.
We seem to be thinking supporting the wrong side of health care. Support the medical professionals and the companies that produce goods and services to keep down the costs of health care.

familiar healthcare would advise that each and every physique hospitals would be controlled by the state, which ability all medical doctors, nurses, etc. would technically be government workers. From what i've got researched it style of feels that smaller communities would acquire some distance better reward than any achievable detrimental that would desire to be cited. the only actual detrimental result's against HMOs and insurance firms that would desire to haven't any reason to exist anymore, yet i don't be attentive to too many people who would spill a tear for those companies. i desire to advise observing Sicko, the Michael Moore documentary. some human beings would think of he's a ***, and he kinda does over sell some issues slightly, in spite of the undeniable fact that that is interesting to be certain familiar well-being care at artwork, and how effectively that is been presented into different international places (Canada, Britain, France, even Cuba... yeah, Cuba).

More demand. Probably same or better pay. Nowadays, the providers are not the ones getting rich from the health care system, it is the health insurance companies. CEO of many health insurance companies make between 20 million to 30 million per yer in salary. Under universal health care more decisions will be given back to the physicians and taken away from the for profit insurance companies. I am a dentist and have been waiting for the change for years. The health care professions have been for way too long under the control of insurance companies. For the sake of our great country, we need change!

Based on what the UK does....I'd say that Nurse Practitioners will be in high demand! They do everything! They do routine women's (pap smears). They are cheaper than doctors, so they do it all.
It is sad to think that we could be heading in that direction!! Our health care will go down hill fast!

It will probably lower salaries of doctors and nurses but will probably create many more desk jobs. I heard on the news that most of the health care department in the UK is desk jobs.
