What should I do about this?
My husband and I are moving to a new apartment on wed. It is the only apartment that is in the location that we need it to be in, so we kind of don't have a choice, the apartment is nice, but there are a few stains on the carpet, and the management said that they would not clean or replace the carpet is there anyhting i can do to get it changed or cleaned. Thanks for all the answers

make sure you follow your lease terms and notify them in writing of the stains prior to moving in; this management company sounds like the kind of place that will screw you on the way out and withhold your security deposit because of the stains.
Most carpet stains will come out with a rented shampooer. There are also spot-cleaning sprays out there but the issue is that then its like a reverse-stain where the carpet becomes its natural color and the rest of the carpet from just general dirt is a darker shade.

You could rent a rug doctor from the store and clean it yourself. They are really easy to use.
