Is the population in England becoming increasingly Islamophobic?
I suppose it doesn't help when the likes of The Daily mail (LIZ JONES)and The Sun give so much media attention to the minority of extremists in this country. The minority do not represent Islam nor do they have any authority on the matter. Why not shine some light on the law abiding, hard working majority proud to be British population or would this go against Rupert Murdoch's bigger idea.
..western arrogance maybe....

yeah this is really starting to bother me recently. Even my very close family have become islamophobic and to be honest im ashamed and angry with them. Theres no point in arguing it with them because they just do not get my point of view and will never agree so we all just keep silent on the matter when in each others company.
I mostly blame trashy papers for banging on and on about it. i have plenty of muslim friends who are decent people. I've recently started to wonder am i one of the only people left that doesnt feel resentment or hate towards muslims. Its a real sad state of affairs. You're at a much bigger risk of being killed, raped, maimed, attacked, whatever by the chavs that hang around the pubs late at night or the dicks that consider themselves the local hardmen, before you are of getting bombed by muslim extremists.
No body wants extremists in the country of course and i in no way agree with their actions but theres nut jobs in any religion/culture/society which ever view you want to look at it from. Certain papers and political parties have all gone a bit right wing for my liking.

I don't think it's any worse than say a year ago and probably better than after 7/7. I'm amazed no-one mentions there are Muslims in the British armed forces including a chaplain (imam).
What made me laugh was that anti-army protest at Luton - it was blatantly obvious there were only about 10 of them.
Somebody should mention to the working class lads most "Indian" restaurant staff are Bengali Muslim. BNP government=no curry, mate!

Yes, and rightly so.
We, the BRITISH people, who are not immigrants, are put on the backburner while the government bends over backwards so as not to 'upset' muslims. Muslims which still openly protest against our country, our soldiers and preach hate in the streets, IN OUR COUNTRY. Have you not heard of the riot that was in Birmingham over the weekend, which, surprise surprise, was incited by muslims in the UAF?
Obviously not all muslims are bad people, but almost all of them, at very least, refuse to integrate into our society and live by their own laws.
If you immigrate to another country, you try and fit it. If I moved to Germany I would properly learn the language, I would abide by their laws and I would certainly not protest against them in their own streets, especially if I had moved there, got housing and benefits for free before their native people, and was overall living a much better quality life than in some sh*tty war-torn middle-eastern sh*thole.
You get what you give, and as a whole they give nothing positive to our society.

No, the population of Britain have a well balanced outlook, and tend to take people as they find them. They fully understand the difference between ordinary Moslems and Islamic extremists. Don't believe everything you read in the Guardian!

You are correct but there are many issues to address, like the formation of unofficial ghettos and "white flight" areas, where the native population are willing to sell their houses to immigrants, thus speeding up the process of ghetto creation.
BBC did an experiment GPS tracking 2 taxis in Blackburn, one from a white enclave, one from an Asian enclave. The paths of the cars never crossed.

And so they should.
Religion is an excuse to people to kill or get there way.
I dont think there are many religions out there that havent caused some sort of war throughout history.
