Why do you bother with this?

I'm interested in your view in the context of This:-

"Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you."

Because it is philosophically brilliant !

Source(s): I would go into more detail but there is a forest in the way and it is teeming with piggies chewing on pearls.

the key is the word judge. we should not judge someone as going to heaven or hell. only God knows a man's heart. but we should judge actions. we do this all the time. everyone does. have you ever been about to go out with some finds and you start thinking about what you are going to do so you change your mind and stay home. for whatever reason you have judged the situation to dangerous to go out. you judged. same for people's actions. if i see a friend who is drinking way to much and starting to cause problems i will reproach that friend and tell him, in sincerity and humility, that he should think about what he is doing. i do not have a drinking problem. but there are a few things i would have a hard time about because i still have a problem with them.

when one warns someone, that is love and it must be done in a sincere and humble manner so as not to offend. this is caring for others.

but when done in a condemning and demeaning way it is wrong. when a stranger comes i have to judge whether the person is sincere or not before telling and trying to help. i have had instances where i tried to help someone and they turned around and practically took my head off. not a good situation.

the main point is that when i am helping or trying to help i am not trying to convert someone. only God can do that. but if i can help someone that is a good thing.

    Peace!!

    Why bother?

Because I will be judged by the same standards I judge others by.

I am guilty of casting pearls before swine all the time. I used to be a troll myself, so I don't give up on the Anti Christ here in Yahoo Answers.

Jehovah has appointed Jesus as Judge; hence, we do not have the right to judge anybody. That is fitting, since—unlike Jesus—we can judge only by the “mere appearance to [our] eyes” or “the thing heard by [our] ears,” whereas Jesus can read the intimate thoughts and reasonings of the heart.—Isa. 11:1-5; 2 Tim. 4:1.

Jesus Christ himself refrained from divulging total information when doing so would have caused needless harm. (John 7:1-10) He said: “Do not give what is holy to dogs, neither throw your pearls before swine.” Why not? So that “they may never . . . turn around and rip you open.”—Matthew 7:6.

    1) I do not judge, but I do proclaim the Word of God. As Scripture says: How will they know unless they hear, and how will they hear unless some goes to them (or is sent). I try to balance between the call to go into all lands, including this one, to make disciples, teaching all that Christ has commanded us, and the warning not to cast what is holy before the dogs or swine. If I strengthen the faith of one or cause one to choose Christ, all my effort will be worth it. Even they are worth saving.

He is talking about not to try to correct people if you have many things wrong with you. You should fix yourself first. The only way into heaven is by believing in the beautiful message of Christ Jesus. Please pray a sincere prayer with all of your heart admitting to Jesus you are a sinner. Have full faith that His blood pays off all of your sins and accept His gift of everlasting life. I pray that God blesses you with peace. Amen.

It says not to judge other people for God will judge you as hard as you judge others. It also says do not point fingers at people when you think that they are wrong for you yourself can be wrong.

it just shows the many levels of hypocrisy in nearly every Xtian. They LOVE to judge others. it's their god fantasy. They think by judging me or you they will somehow make brownie points with the boogie man when in fact their own 'faith" manual tells them they're going to h e double tooth brushes for it.. No biggie. it just means they're screwing themselves up the a$Z with their own by-bullsh*t.

it says not to judge others.. but when you (and you will) that is the same judgment God is going to use on you.

    right?
