Ya shoulda seen him sliding all over! That what he gets for bringing a 600 ninja to my house! By the way your answers are allways right on the money! Well, you just answered that one yourself! idiots don't read the label, the yuppie kingdom likes shiny tires to show off...oh man, I could go on forever. If you like the shiny chrome and all, fine. Buy some. Go home and polish and wipe to your hearts content. I wash my Harley when necessary. Period. I've even seen some put it on seats and just slide all around. Weird huh? Use products as recommended, not 'cause you want to look like the brightest bike at bike night.

Turn it around... do NOT ride on it if it is backwards! Two reasons directional arrows exist: 1. Tread sipes are angled specifically to push water away from the center of the tire - running it backwards will create hydroplane conditions which = crash! 2. Molding processes use a strip of rubber, joined end to end by overlapping, to create the circle of the tire. If the tire is driven backwards, the joint may peel backwards causing catastrophic tire failure as the circle becomes a strip of rubber/nylon again!

I will answer your question with a question why do people use Armor A ll on there cars tires, to make them shiny, but when doing that on a motor cycle tire if it gets on the tread you could lose traction, results can be disaster. I ride a Harley, and I have done this for a show so that the bike was as shiny as possible. and I received a second place prize and a $500.00 but I did not ride my bike till I checked to make sure that the treads were dry . PS. to the poster who made the comment about Harley riders unless you own one then I would keep your BIG mouth and small mind shut. OH that's right you probably own a Honda shadow ha ha ha lol

On group rides I make the person go home and clean their tires if they show up with ArmorAll all on tires. It's not worth it to see them crash over dumb stuff like that. I rather have the person miss a ride than not come back from one. I notice this more with the newer riders.

A little advice, never put armor all or any other type of crap like that on any tires, it is very slippery and very dangerous epsecially in the wet just a little bit on your tires will make them deadly slippery in the wet...put it almost anywhere else on the car but keep it away from tires!!!

Yes I have to agree - people do not know what is right or wrong. The amount of folks that end up in A&E from misusing products is amazing. From hairdryers to chemicals - all stupid.Common sense is a very rare thing to see in use at times.

Cause they don't actually ride the motorcycle. Just sit on it to look cool. By the time they are ready to ride the armor all is all dried up.

Because they want their bike to be nice and pretty. Like buffalo boy they prefer style over substance... and like most squids safety is purely secondary to the intended purpose of the tire.
