Out of nowhere I felt and then saw what looked like a burn, today it started to blister - Any idea what it is?

Yesterday I was typing on my laptop and I noticed that my inner wrist felt like I had burned it (like when you burn it on the oven). When I looked it was very red, but flat and looked like that kind of burn, but I had not done anything that should have caused that. So I put aloe on it and later A&D ointment. Oblong about the width of a nickel.

Today, it started to "grow" a little blister that has grown larger as the day went on. Now, most of the red has lessened except for the part that is totally covered by a filled (pus) blister - the main part the circumfrence of a pencil eraser.

Then a couple smaller little painful blisters on first finger and back of the base of the thumb - and they had nothing yesterday.

Any ideas? I am going to put Neosporin on, but I have no idea if I was bit or by what? And do I drain the "blisters"?

TIA

Update:

Great I have never reported ANYONE for abuse but now I have a group of morons. all at once!

WTH is wrong with you first # posters - go write to the guy who claims he got "himself" stuck in the tub jet - I know is sounds like a bite but not sure how to treat it.

Update 2:

??? Eckhart Carbon Monoixide ?? WHAT THE HECK - it is like a rash on my arm?

Update 3:

To serious answerers, I really would appreciate your answers. Having peope post spam and swearing - just really irritating - why bother.

Update 4:

I went to the doctor and they drained the fluid - it was clear - which I was told would mean that it is most likely was not a bacterial infection.

Several other small "blisters" appeared and the back of my forearm, and on two fingers. BUT none of them presented as a burn and they were smaller.

Update 5:

Well it wasn't a burn - I got a couple of other small "blisters" on my hands and arms - haven't gotten the culture back yet

It could be carbon monoxide poisoning or carbon dioxide poisoning..either of the two can give the same symptoms as what you are experiencing..if you know for sure it was not a burn you might want to see if you can get a carbon dioxide alarm in your house

It could be a burn from the laptop. They can get pretty hot.

It's probably best to leave the blisters alone, but putting A&D ointment and neosporin on it, to be safe.

If you are having serious doubts, you may want to go to a doctor.

  • i also got something like this

the laptop got warm + the friction of rubbing your wrist on it if you were typing a lot may have caused it

spamers- they just type nonsense because it gets them more points for answering. why they chose you? not sure.
