What would you think about the state of your relationship if your partner of 15yrs forgot your birthday?

Quite simple my wife totally forgot my birthday. She was only reminded when my father turned up with a card from my parents. I'm not actually bothered by it, I'm old enough not to care, but I am amused because she has always made a point of saying she never forgets anything important....

rochelle, it may be stress, we have a close friend who is currently going through a nasty divorce (the husband is being a complete pillock) and my wife is being the shoulder for the wife. However although its the first time she has forgotten my birthday she also forgot our anniversary last yr, the excuse was work at the time.

    sometimes its those closest to us that take us for granted. and this is a clear case. it must hurt even though u say u arent bothered. u are. i would be too. i would be well f**ked off if he didnt give me at least a card.

    she needs to make more effort to not take you for granted, and maybe you her? normally there are two sides to this, both people get lazy, try to communicate and rebuild. youve made it 15 years, so you ought to be able to stay together, and be happy together till end of days

    nicely, my better half greater suitable than 12 years forgot my birthday yet even my ex did not undergo in concepts. What do I do? that's basically as much as how people experience and detect the international and what intentions they have upon you.     You never know, she may have "forgotten" your birthday since she has something special planned- my partner did the same a few years ago and then two days later I found myself at the Athens Olympics as a surprise......."forget? did i?.....look in your passport and see what kinda tickets are in there" was something like how the conversation went after two days of hurt scilence!!

    look in to it she never forgets anything important right ! why do u think she would forget probably she is under a lot of stress or going through alot of pressure ! dont be too hard on her its the first right!

    Part of me would be hurt but the other part says she's human and people make mistakes. As long as it doesn't happen again and she somehow makes it up to you. Hell, I would milk it and get a back massage and a nice dinner :)
