Which is better to wear for an interview?

The first one is a sleveless shirt with dark jeans and flip flops. Is this too underdressed? The second one is a sleveless shirt too but I have flats that would match it. But, it's like shiny. Is that too dressed up? Also, I am interviewing to be a lifeguard, if that influences your decision. And, the interview will be between me (a teenager) and an adult man so I don't want to make a wrong impression.

Here is a link, it's a video. I didn't know how else to put it up. Sorry about the bad quality.

its simple, regardless of the type of job, you must be seen as a professional after all, they are investin gin you. it is better to go in business attire and set the correct impression from the offset.

Typically you shouldn't wear jeans to an interview. However, since it's for a job as a lifeguard, if the jeans are dark, and not too tight and you don't have any slacks you can wear, I think it would be OK. The sleeveless blouse is OK too as long as the sleeve openings aren't revealing. But the flip flops are not acceptable. And I wouldn't wear a shiny blouse either. I bet if you look through your closet you'll find another top you can wear with the flats. Good luck.

I didn't watch your YouTube vid, but it all depends on where you're trying to get hired as a lifeguard.

If you're going for a job at a local country club or something where the "high society" kind of person is likely to be in the clientele, then I'd dress pretty nice for the interview. At least khakis and a blouse of some kind.

If you're going for an interview at a public pool where kids and generally Joe Shmoes are going to be your clientele, then just be yourself. Don't wear anything too revealing (although you'll be in a swimsuit for your job, like you said you don't want to make the wrong impression.) I'd just wear some nice jeans and a casual button-down or a t-shirt without a lot of crazy graphics on it.

The second one for sure! But both are really great and I'm glad you take time to figure out what to wear for an interview most people dont give a care, but the way you dress is really the first impression.

The first is way undressed. Don't wear jeans to an interview. Do you have a skirt or dress? Don't wear anything sleeveless or anything to revealing. And definitely don't wear flip flops. The video is to dark to see anything.

so totally the second choice i love the brown flats they mach perfectly with the white on the shirt if the jeans are skinny jeans that would look more better and red and lifeguard are the perfect color

    cheers

If I were you I would wear the first outfit only because your just going to be interviewed for a life guard job not a Business job . You would want to look laidback and comfortable. You will look great.

Do it with the shiny flats thats pretty! And you wont be to dressy its just the shoes! Its ok! I would wear it with the shiny shoes

You should wear a pretty dark blue sleeveless shirt and dark jeens with gold sandal flats! = ) Hope I helped!

  • they are both pretty i would go with the first one but the flip flops would mess it up with that pretty shirt. so i would change the flip flops. but if you dont want to then i would go with the second one

good luck at your interview!! :)
