as in, if you lived in texas how ever many years ago, and you saw spanish people, you would know they were illegal.
but why wasn't anything done about it then, and where are all these illegal immigrants going if they come here with no place to live?

It used to be that those immigrating to the United States did so with the intention of becoming US Citizens, speaking English and paying taxes.
However, due to the globalist policies of both Democrats and Republicans, the situation is reversed. Many illegals come to the United States with the intention of using our schools, using our hospitals (costing Americans more in taxes) and never wanting to learn English or become part of American society. If anyone is to blame for this problem it is Republicans and Democrats since they are the only ones in power.

A lot of wealthy families in bordering states are hiring them as housekeepers and nannies and letting them stay at their house.
Also, a lot of independent companies in those states hire Mexican immigrants to do labor for construction, field work, etc. Some of them offer to put them up with room and board.
So, illegal immigration isn't just about Mexican citizens "leaking" into the country, it's about Americans who help them.

the certainty is that we've not got an "unlawful Immigration" subject in usa. we've an "unlawful corporation" subject. individuals are in contact that a "flood of unlawful immigrants" coming on the whole throughout the time of our southern border is, to paraphrase Lou Dobbs, "wiping out the yank center classification." and there is substantial reality to it in reality that we had an open border with Mexico for a number of centuries, and "unlawful immigration" became by no skill a severe subject. till now Reagan's presidency, an predicted million or so people a year got here into the U. S. from Mexico - and the comparable form, extra or much less, left the U. S. for Mexico on the tip of the rural harvest season. very few stayed, because of the fact there have been no longer jobs for them. Non-electorate did no longer have get entry to to the non-agricultural US activity industry, in general because of the potential people labor unions (till now Reagan 25% of the paintings tension became unionized; at present the internal maximum paintings tension is approximately 7% unionized), and because businesses have been unwilling to risk having non-tax-deductible labor expenses on their books through hiring undocumented workers without valid Social risk-free practices numbers. yet Reagan positioned an end to that. His 1986 amnesty application, mixed along with his aggressive conflict on prepared labor (all started in 1981), in result instructed the two employers and non-electorate that there could be few outcomes and particularly some rewards to increasing the U. S. labor pool (and for this reason driving down wages) with undocumented immigrants. a million people a year persevered to return throughout the time of our southern border, yet they stopped returning to Latin usa each and every fall because of the fact incredibly of seasonal paintings they have been able to finding everlasting jobs. The magnet drawing them? unlawful Employers. Fifty years in the past we did no longer have an "unlawful immigration" subject, because of the fact returned then we did no longer have a conservative "unlawful corporation" subject

The border used to be pretty much unguarded.
People were free to come and go as they pleased, coming over to work and then going back home.
But once we started trying to enforce the border, many of them found it was easier to stick around than to risk not getting back in.
I think that's what you call the Law of Unintended Consequences.

The Mexican government is very corrupt. There is no middle class there. People either live like kings or they eat one meal a week. Now that we are wasting the corn crop to make gasoline, the problem is even more intense.

Just remember everybody who came to the United States are not from here. United States was actually taken from the Native Indians who settled here way before we even got here. So the immigrants are actually all of us and they just want what we got as well.
