Question for Muslims?
Serious question, but a little odd perhaps. What is the Muslim faith's opinion/policy on foreskin? Do Muslims as a common practice engage in circumcision- cutting the foreskin from infant males (or males of any age, really), or do they view that as something distinctly Jewish in origin and practice?

"Male circumcision, a well- established tradition in Islam, is another aspect of "tahaarah". Circumcision is not mentioned in the Qur'an, but it is a established Muslim tradition that Muslim boys are circumcised at birth to promote good health and cleanliness. In islam, any qualified doctor may perform circumcision. There is ongoing debate on the value of male circumcision. The American Academy of Pediatrics find that "circumcision is not essential to a child's well- being at birth, even thou it does have some potential medical benefits." Some clinical studies have found a decreased rate of urinary tract infection and cancer in circumcised boys. Muslim are likely to continue the practice regardless of the debate, as a religious tradition that was practiced and approved by the Prophet Muhammad. (a.s)"
It should be noted, " Female circumcision is neither mandated nor coned by Islam. It is a pre- Islamic cultural tradition practiced by some parts of the sub- Saharan Africa by both Muslims and non- Muslims alike."

Salam :) I'm a Muslim teen residing in Canada. I put on hijab alhamdullilah and it is for probably the most aspect authorised right here considering i reside in a colossal town with a colossal Muslim populace. I do get the few ignorant feedback and idiots at college despite the fact that who ask stuff like "yo acquired a bomb underneath there hahaha". But the toughest aspect is being specific out of your peers. Being a Muslim, events, alcohol relationship boys dressed in revealing apparel and so on is haram, and even as I do not wish to do this besides, it may be a bit of awkward to need to provide an explanation for why I do not do it to persons who recollect it only a aspect of being a youngster and its common to them. Muslims residing in Muslim international locations undoubtedly have it less complicated with regards to becoming in. And with meals it may be a bit of complicated however I regularly attempt to learn the label if I'm now not certain of the materials. But I would not wanna be every other faith regardless of how tricky it will get and the way specific I consider from every body else, I'm completely satisfied to be Muslim :)

As Salaamu Alaikum (Peace be upon you)
Honestly, This was the first known practice done by our forefather known as Prophet Abraham (Pbuh) who circumcised himself at the age of 80 (according 2 history).
We believe in him & follow all the rules brought by diff. prophets on diff. times from Adam to Prophet Muhammad (Peace & blessing be upon all of them).
Peace
