perhaps a bad solenoid. maybe a bad fuse. it could be that you didnt need a battery to begin with. You need to say whether or not the motor turns over or if it does turn over and just wont start. Please be more specific and I may help you with your problem.

Disconnect the battery. Clean the terminals and the inside of the connectors with sandpaper then lightly grease them. Then charge the battery fully (overnight at 2 amps). Then reconnect, and off you go. If your onboard charger isn't working efficiently you may need to charge the battery regularly, I put mine on charge routinely between mows, it's really no trouble and keeps the battery in good condition.

i hope you didn't cross the wires. or perhaps you can jump start it ,it could have powered down sitting on the shelf . cable terminals should be clean and tight . always possible your "dead battery" was some other problem but you thought it was the battery. look for switch interlocks that prevent the engine from being started, dead man switch under the seat, key switch failure . you can bypass all of them till you find the problem.

I would assume you may have knock a cable lose or something when you installed the battery. Does it turn over at all or is it just like another dead battery

If the battery connections are good l would start with the solenoid,if u know how u can take a screwdriver and jump the 2 large bolts and by-pass this. hope this helps.

Check the battery cables first, make sure there is"nt any corrosion on them, it could be the starter went bad. It could also be in the ignition switch that is"nt making a good contact, its hard to say without seeing it. Good luck

I surprised that no one suggested check all safety switches, there's one on the seat, clutch for blade and probably more, make sure the circuits are complete for the safety switches, also i noticed some in line fuses on my mower, check these.
