Good Books for 13 Year-Old Girls -- Summer Reading Classics?

secret life of bees, anne of green gables. I dont read a ton of old books, but I liked these. DO NOT GIVE THEM THE PEARL, IT WAS THE WORST BOOK EVER!!!!!

I read Black Beauty, and To Kill a Mockingbird, in 8th grade when I was 13 because my English teacher made us pick out one classic book each library trip and they are both good books, and Huck Finn I read when I was 16 in my junior year in high school. That book is a little more challenging to catch all the meanings behind certain things but never the less a good book. I would also recommend the Great Gatsby.

5 people you meet in hevaen is a great one. Lord of the Flies is alright too.
