very urgent marriage interview question ..???? please answer?

i had my interview today , i went with my wife " she is a US Citizen" , w the interview lasted almost 20 or 25 mins, but am really not satisfied at all because he didn't ask me anything, all his questions were to my wife, as she had previous marriages and children

the only question he asked was when did i come to the USA .... and thats it

at the end, he said tonight we'll review the case and approve it then send u the GC in 3 - 6 weeks by mail

i'm so worried,, why he didn't ask me anything,, is there anything wrong or its just that he already knew everything about me from my papers and my lawyer

pls serious answers as i'm really really worried

tks

Update:

i do speak english ofcourse,,

but just worried as i thought it will be a million of questions asked

Try not to worry buddy, he could have been cutting you a break by not asking you much.

Congrats on coming to the US!

It actually varies from case to case. I think that you should get married here (some places do not require social security # to get married, just birth certificate and ID) Absolutely do not use fake SSN, that will only hurt you. Then you should talk to a lawyer for advice, usually consultations are free. He may have to make a trip back to his country to complete the process. It will take longer since he is illegal, it just depends how long the waiting line is. There are a lot of people out there trying. It should take no longer than a year. You have to show proof that he has been here for however long he has been here. Doctors bills, photos, etc. and proof that you all are together since you will be applying through marriage. Get a lawyer though. My lawyer cost around 600 and paperwork around 1000 but i think the paperwork cost has gone up now. You will need to fill out a lot of paperwork, A petition, application for work card, and also application for change of status once the work card is approved. He will also need a sponser who makes more than 30,000 a year so be looking if you don't (his income dosen't count since he is working illegally and is not suppose to work until he gets emplyment card). f the green card is approved, it will only last 2 years since you will have only been married for a short time. After that, he should get a 10 year one and should ne able to apply for citizenship (another high cost) 3-5 years after obtaining a green card. Good luck. It is a long hard process, but worth it in the end if you truly love each other. We filed a month after marriage, but we already had proof of our relationship and bills together. He may have a better chance if you do have kids together but he can still be denied and that would be harder on you. I would seriously talk to a lawyer for better advice before taking any chances of getting him deported.

Since your visa is marriage-based, and since he was satisfied with your answer about your entry to the United States, he mainly asked your wife the questions. He was making sure it was a legitimate marriage, since she had been married before. I have read about lots of interviews online, and usually they don't ask very many questions. This is normal; if there was a problem he would have told you.

    Relax and congratulations!

what are you worried about? in my interview they only asked my husband the questions...and I was the beneficiary...i just remained quiet and prepared if they asked me a question but it never came...all the INS agent said directly to me is that my green card was taking approx 2 weeks to arrive and I got it 5 days after...good luck and welcome to USA....

do you speak good english. He might have thought that he could have mad thing simple by talking to her so things would go smoothly and take less time. I had to talk to someone who didnt talk good english and it took awhile and if I had talk to someone that spoke english wouldnt have taken so long.

I think if they were worried about you, they would have asked you more questions.
