7 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoCan someone explain to me what is happening in Egypt?
What started all of this? What are the people upset about? What are they asking for?
It seems like everyone I ask tells me something different. Can someone tell me the real answers, or at least what is thought to be the most accurate answers?
5 AnswersEgypt1 decade agoWhat are some good ways to deal with a difficult employee that is 15 - 20 years older than you?
I work with this guy that is 47, I am 30. I am his supervisor and he has made it clear that my opinion means little to him because of the fact that he is older than me. I am constantly being undermined, second guessed, and the victim of "innocent" potshots from this individual. It always comes back to my age, and i always warn him that he is dangerously close to "harassment". I work with about 400 people whose age ranges from 19 - 64, and I've never had to deal with someone like this. What doesn't help is that our boss is 46 and is the type of person that feels that age means experience, in other words she feels like anyone younger than her couldn't possibly be smarter than her. Her and i get along very well, but she thinks all of the "altercations" i'm having with this 47 y/o employee are just playful and fun. They absolutely are not (yes i've told her and her response is to "buck up"). This person is making me a miserable, negative person at work, which I've never been. I wish more than anything that this wasn't an employee so I could just crush his face and get on with my life, but it is, and I really want to go back to liking my job again. Is there anyone out there that could throw some advice my way?
4 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoHow do you read the gauge on an electric pallet jack?
The gauge starts at 0 and goes up to 20. It also says D.C. Amperes underneath the numbers. This gauge is always at 0 until we plug it in to be charged. When we plug it in it usually jumps to the 10 - 20 range. What is this gauge supposed to tell me and how do i interpret the numbers into something i can understand?

3 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoWas anyone else bothered by Rampage's comment?
I was really disheartened by Rampages comments to McSweeny regarding his accent. I haven't payed a whole lot of attention to Rampage outside of the ring until this season's TUF. I've been thinking that Rampage seems like an alright guy that likes to joke around sometimes. I just think as a coach he should have handled the situation differently. All McSweeny did was shake his head as he was walking away. So, according to Rampage's logic, McSweeny was wrong for having an opinion about something? It isn't like McSweeny was out where a lot of people would have seen his reaction, you know what i mean? I lost A LOT of respect for Rampage right there, he wouldn't let the guy talk and when he finally did he talked trash about his accent. What a scumbag, Rampage could have talked trash about McSweeny's lesser experience, or skills, but he decided to go after his accent. What if McSweeny pulled the same s h i t on Rampage and talked trash about Rampage's ocassional ebonic/street talk use. First i think Rampage would've freaked out like a 5 year old, and second, today i think people would be calling McSweeny a racist. Well as far as i'm concerned what Rampage did was borderline racism. I don't think Rampage is nearly as good of a coach as Rashad is. I hear more helpful stuff coming from Rashad than i do Rampage. I used to not care much for Rashad, but i'm starting to like him. Anyone feel similar? Anyone feel the opposite way?
8 AnswersMartial Arts1 decade agoWhy do so many muslims com to YA asking how to pray?
My parents are muslim. They never need to ask people how to pray.I just don't understand. I never see catholics, jews, buddhists, taoists come on here asking how to practice their religions. Whats up muslims? Are you not paying attention at the masjid?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do a lot of overweight people......?
Why do a lot of overweight people try to give weight loss advice? It's one thing to have lost 200lbs and still be overweight, yes that person probably has something valuable to say. But the person that weighs 400+lbs and eats whoppers and bigmacs for lunch everyday has no buisness giving anyone weight loss advice imo.
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness1 decade agoCan someone answer a question about reggae music?
Recently i've been getting more into reggae and i'm finding that many many reggae artists cover each others songs, to the point of ridiculous! This seems to create a lot of arguments as to who performs the song better etc, etc. i'm just wondering why the reggae genre seems to have such a large amount of artists that do a lot of covers. I mean seriously i just listened to 8 different versions of the song Here i come. I always thought that song was a barrington levy song, but apparently there are like 30 other reggae artists that have done the same song, so who knows who originally wrote that song. So why all the covers?
Also, i'd love some suggestions for some good reggae. I like stuff from artists like Barrington Levy, Ninjaman, Mad Lion, Black Uhuru, Dilinger, Buju Banton. Thakns.

2 AnswersCycling1 decade agoI'm getting a tattoo, what would look on dark skin?
I already know what i'm looking for, but I wanted to hear what people thought. I am of Pakistani heritage, the only reason i'm mentioning that is to let you know that i'm not white. All of my favorite tats have been on white people, and i haven't seen to many middle eastern guys with tats so what colors would look good, what style would look good and how big should i go? Like i said i already know what i want, but i want to see what people think i should do also.
(My skin is the color of coffee with creamer in it lol, a coworker suggested i mention that since i don't have a pic to post.)
4 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoAfrican-american, mexican-american, italian-american?
Do you add a country to yourself? I mean do you refer to yourself as african-american, mexican-american, italian-american, etc?
Why do you do that? If you were born on American soil, you are an American.
The only logical reason I can see using another country like that would be if you had dual citizenship.
Personally, I am American, my family comes from Pakistan, even though neither of my parents had been to Pakistani until they were in their teens. (I just want to point out that I am interested in Pakistani culture because that would be my heritage.) When they got their citizenship, they shed their old countries and became American. They've lived in many countries and have consistently told my brother and I that America is easily the greatest country to live in and be a part of.
9 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoA question for police officers, maybe lawyers too.?
Whats the truth about you guys needing to meet "quotas" as far as giving tickets and doing drivers license and insurance checks? There's these 2 guys here that drive me nuts every time law enforcement comes up in conversation, they just bash them and say all this negative s h i t. I feel like they truly don't know what they're talking about because when i ask them where they get their info, they have nothing to say, but continue to say how s h i t t y cops are for asking to see valid paperwork. Today the topic is specifically about "quotas" and "tough-guy" cops.
My attitude is that there should be quotas, how often are you on the road and you see some jackass driving like an idiot, i see that every day, many MANY times a day, and wonder how this person managed to get a license, or insurance. I don't need some idiot crashing into my car with no insurance!!! My s h i t's legit, i work, i pay for insurance, my license is valid, and i don't mind showing it to a cop. As far as the tough-guy thing goes, my attitude is that everyone is different, some are nice, some are not. I just hope i get one of the nice ones!
7 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoDid anyone else feel that the ending of Lost Via Domus was really bad?
I love video games. I love Lost. The gameplay sucked, The game barely had anything to do with the island or it's strange properties. The first cave sequence was the hardest damn part of the game. And the 60 second ending was horrible and not worth the effort it took to play that far into the game. WTF ABC?!? YOU MAKE MILLIONS OFF THAT SHOW AND PUT OUT A CRAP GAME LIKE THAT?!?!??!
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games1 decade agoCigar smokers, what should i smoke next?
It's time for me to refill my humidor, and i'm very open to trying all different kinds of cigars. I recently enjoyed 5 packs of the following:
Man O War, Olivia serie V, Romeo Julieta Habana Reserve (I REALLY enjoyed those). Drew Estate Java, Pirates Gold, and a few others.
I like most of the popular brands, but i'm just trying to avoid buying smokes i won't enjoy.
3 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoShould I be worried? All I ever think about is sex!!?
All I ever think about is having sex. I figured it was normal for a while when I was a teen, but I seem to think about sex more now than I ever have before. It's getting to a point where I'm having trouble concentrating on things that require my attention. I'm physically attracted to almost every woman I see, and no I'm not a virgin, and yes I get a regular amount of sex. Even with the regular amount, I still want more! I don't mean to offend anybody, women are just so damn fine! :D
Anyway, how can I control this?
Any help would be appreciated!
