Was anyone else bothered by Rampage's comment?
I was really disheartened by Rampages comments to McSweeny regarding his accent. I haven't payed a whole lot of attention to Rampage outside of the ring until this season's TUF. I've been thinking that Rampage seems like an alright guy that likes to joke around sometimes. I just think as a coach he should have handled the situation differently. All McSweeny did was shake his head as he was walking away. So, according to Rampage's logic, McSweeny was wrong for having an opinion about something? It isn't like McSweeny was out where a lot of people would have seen his reaction, you know what i mean? I lost A LOT of respect for Rampage right there, he wouldn't let the guy talk and when he finally did he talked trash about his accent. What a scumbag, Rampage could have talked trash about McSweeny's lesser experience, or skills, but he decided to go after his accent. What if McSweeny pulled the same s h i t on Rampage and talked trash about Rampage's ocassional ebonic/street talk use. First i think Rampage would've freaked out like a 5 year old, and second, today i think people would be calling McSweeny a racist. Well as far as i'm concerned what Rampage did was borderline racism. I don't think Rampage is nearly as good of a coach as Rashad is. I hear more helpful stuff coming from Rashad than i do Rampage. I used to not care much for Rashad, but i'm starting to like him. Anyone feel similar? Anyone feel the opposite way?
I totally understand the comments about him being on the other team, and of course i know it's a fighting contest, but i just think that choosing to pick at something that represents McSweeny's culture was wrong. Rampage could have made fun of anything else and i wouldn't have said a thing, or thought anything bad. I just expected more from someone with the experience that Rampage has.
Ok, ok, a friend of mine just sent me something explaining that McSweeny and Rampage have kind of a troubled history. McSweeny was working in Rashads corner during his last fight, they were trying to yell stuff to Rashad but Rampage was talking trash louder than those guys, so apparently McSweeny gets into an argument/yelling match with Rampage and they've been weary of each other since then. That makes this whole thing seem a little different.
again, i don't have a problem with s h i t talking, just racist s h i t.

it was hilarious. he didn't make fun of his accent, he burned him. Rampage trained in the UK for a long time. He's a popular figure there and is good friends with many people there.
Saying he couldn't understand Mcsweeny just set up the punchline of, "Why don't you take Rashad's nuts out of your mouth before speaking because I can't understand you right now.."
it was funny.

You know, the more I see of Rampage, the less I like him. He just seems a lot more concerned about being funny than teaching his guys what they need to know to win their fights. Yes, he's funny, but he overdoes it a lot at times. Put your ego aside, quit snarking on Rashad and his guys, and just get to work. He's got some great talent there if only he'd spend a bit more time developing them.

he's in the other team and that makes it okay. Rampage didn't say that to belittle ALL of England, he did that to make fun of Mcsweeny. Aside from that we all know how rampage kids around. Even more so, this isn't Charm school, this is the ultimate fighter. You are gonna get guys with egos and guys who joke around.

rampage trains at the Wolfslair academy with michael bisbing and cheik kongo in england, so he'd got nothing against the brits. its just that rampage has problems with rashad and some other fighers at greg jackson's camp

hey brother i agree with everything you posted there and couldn't of have expressed it better... rampage has shown his true colors and what kind of a person he is with his quitting and what not. then on top of all that he disrespects us the fans by telling us to kiss his big black @ss.

Mcsweeny was on the other team. That makes it justifiable in my eyes. Also I thought it was funny. " I train in the Uk and I don't know what that guy is saying." haha
