Filming on location in real settings for a more "Live" format ...yay or nay?

Anybody who has tuned into Guiding Light has noticed it films in a entirely different format than all the other soaps, on location in real settings. At first I did not like it because of the excessive camera shaking and close ups...but since they have stopped doing those annoying things (on a regular basis), I have gotten use to it and I like it a bit. (I been watching GL since it's cancellation was announced...it's a good show)

My two favorite soaps B&B and ATWT also film on location in real settings sometimes. I prefer a mix of the traditional studio filming and the on location filming. ATWT does a really good job of the two and they don't shake the camera when they film on location. Your thoughts????

I don't watch the Soaps you watch but yayy. I am all for on location settings. However somethimes it looks a little fake, like it's coming from a blue screen(or maybe it just is fake).
