What kind of wood floor is this?

I have wood floors throughout most of my home, problem is I'm not sure what type of wood it is.

Here are a few photos all of them from the same section, why one turned out looking red I'm not sure.

Update:

My floors aren't red like the third picture. Like I said its the same exact section, the camera took that picture funny but I thought it was a nice close up of the grain despite turning out an off color.

How old is the house? It looks like red oak. I had red oak floors in a house I bought. The house was built between 1862 and 1864 and as far as I know red oak was used until early to mid 1900s. The floor boards in my old house were 3/4 to 7/8 in. thick and when finished they were beautiful. Mine did not turn out red all in one area, but did have a pieces here and there in every room.

looks like oak to me. Doubt it but it could be ash. Oak and ash look a lot alike. Oak can be stained to be as red as you want. Sand it off and stain it dark brown. Phenomenal.
