Is Fujifilm Finepix a good camera?
I used a Finepix before and hated it. It had a feature that when I pressed the button it didn't take the picture straight away. Useless for moving shots. I can't remember the model of the camera and that delay in the shots was the way the camera was -I checked the manual and that's what it said.
Looking online a lot of people have good things to say about Finepix so I am wondering if it was just that model and if I should give it another try. It seems I will get the best value for my money if I get one. I want a beginners camera to use and get comfy with just before I spend money on a D-SLR. I do not want to spend a lot of money either! :-) Thanks for any USEFUL help.
Thanks Mimi. Lovely answer. For any other answerers out there: I am an intermediate photographer, looking to get back in the stride after some years out...last camera took film!! Can use and prefer SLRs but want to get a compact as it's less expensive but has many SLR features. Would be looking to get an S1500, S5700, S9600, S2000HD...that kind of thing. Anyone had the same problems with the delayed shutter thing I spoke about earlier.

its acutally so good, and there is not a delayed shutter :S
oh and the problem you said, are you sure that you didnt have it on self timer? because theres a bit wheere you change that and the minimum was no self timer obviously. + then it went to 2 seconds, then 5 and then 10; i think.

Yes it is. I have a pink one of the Finepix Z20 it works great and it comes in so many colors! Its my first camera and now im so glad i bought this one. You should at least try! :)
