Sailor Moon fans: What would you like to add to the anime?
Since "Sailor Moon" will be reairing in Japan soon,and in Italy next year.....and,possibly redubbed by FUNiMation in the US......Wouldn't y'all fans like to see something new to commemorate this event?
If you were to choose some small "new thing" to add to Sailor Moon as a commeoration,what would you want it to be? (Keep in mind,I don't mean an entire new season.).Elaborate.
Personally,I'd love to see a movie or 3-ep. OVA of "Parallel Sailor Moon",which is a short manga story featured in the artbook,"The Materials Collection".It tells of the Inner Senshi,and their daughters.Their daughters are the new senshi.It also introduces us to Usagi's second daughter,Kousagi.
If not that particular story,I would love to see a 6-ep. OVA of Chibi-Usa as Sailor Moon with her senshi (The Amazoness Quartet) as the Inner Senshi.What they would do about Outer Senshi for that series would make it even more interesting.
My fiance' would like to see an OVA made of the events in the videogame,"Sailor Moon: Another Story".I believe that would be fun,as I would like to see how the Opposition Senshi would turn out in anime form.
Bonus Q: Do you like any of our ideas?
@Sable,you must mean the sidestory in manga Vol.11,"Casablanca Memory".I bet that story would be a nice OVA as well.
And,I would also like very to see "Codename wa Sailor V" animated as well,as they only briefly touched that story in the BSSM anime series.It deserves to be something like a 6-ep. OVA or a 2-hr. film.
@Darling X, Amara Tenou, and dark_moon_saturn.....you 3 are made of total awesome,and were just the type of fans I was hoping would answer this question!
@dark_moon_saturn..... I fully agree with that,and wish they had stuck more to the manga--at certain points--as well.I especially hated the "Monster of the Day" effect you mentioned,which makes everyone feel that BSSM is just a show for children,and that adults are silly to watch it.
I did hate them leaving things out--such as the characters you mentioned--and,I also hated them adding things to it as well,like the thing where Rei and Mamoru were dating.
And,I would very much love for PGSM and--even moreso--Sera Myu---to be subbed,and aired on US television.
@Amaru Tenou....Yes,but it has only been confirmed to be reairing in Italy & Japan.Hopefully,the reairing will do well enough in those countries that other countries will follow suit.
And,I quite like your idea.There was quite a lack of background info. on several characters.And,I feel that us knowing more about such characters,such as how their life was before in the place they originated from would have added more depth--and retrospective--to the anime.
And,BTW,nice name...it's like the match for mine...LOL!
@Darling X....Wonderful answer! But,first,let me refer back to what I told Amara.....that giving us more background info. on the characters that lacked such would offer great depth and retrospect to the anime.
I had not thought so much about the senshi/princesses themselves when saying that,but moreso characters that are villians or senshi from other less-known places.But,yes,we'd need more background about the senshi as the princesses as well.And,a couple eps. more like PGSM,where (Mamoru as) Endymion gets closer acquainted with his generals.
Speaking of the generals,I'd like more emphasis on the fact that Kunzite & Zoycite are a homosexual/yaoi couple,instead of dubs that change Zoycite into a female in order to hide such a fact.Viewers of all ages need to realize that love bears many forms.
And,the same goes for Haruka & Michiru as well.That whole "cousins" thing didn't convince anyone over age 6,and their was no use for any form of the anime to hide their love from the viewer
{con't.} They weren't ashamed of it.No1 else should have been,either.
And,yes,the cats as humans would have been wonderful.Even if they were shown as the time of the anime,they would need a flashback to show their life back on their home world as well.
And,Sailor Luna would have been a great anime senshi.
As for the UsaMamo wedding and Small Lady's birth,there would need to be a film devoted to that.It would need to be watched all at once is why I said a film instead of like 3 eps. to sum it up.
Let me say that I cannot believe I skipped over a major point you made...the relationship of Endymion's generals and the planetary princesses/senshi MUST be animated....eventually.That reminds me of that wonderful artbook picture of them that I LOVE so much!

Maybe a wider glimpse of Crystal Tokyo? The creation of the crystal utopia and the birth of Small Lady, Usagi and Mamoru's wedding :D, what happened to Usagi's family when they discovered who she really was?
The story of Prince Diamond and his family's suffering on Nemesis, how the hatred began (sorry, using dub name, can't remember the other)
Or the Silver Millenium; the rumoured relationships between the Senshi and Endymion's guards would have been fun to watch, and they can explore how the guards became evil due to Beryl's brainwashing.
To someone who said they should re-make Stars, YES - AND PUT IN THEIR BEAUTIFUL ETERNAL SENSHI OUTFITS, explain how each of the senshi are Princesses with their beautiful gowns and castles and guardians... T_T
The little family of Artemis, Luna and Diana, that would be so cute, showing their lives in Crystal Tokyo, not as cats, but as intelligent beings from the planet Mau, in their human forms !!

Well... for me... I'd love to see the Rei sidestory in manga animated even though that probably won't happen because that portrayal of manga Rei is at odds with the anime Rei (side story talks about why Rei can't like and trust men... and why her favorite flower is casablanca).
That, or OVA prequel that follows the Sailor V manga which could fit so well into anime on the whole no matter event discontinuity.
As for your ideas... Parallel Sailor Moon seems interesting at first but as the title already said, it is basically just another way of saying alternative universe and I have not been overly fond of official alternative universe for any anime to date yet. I don't foresee myself to like this one any better despite my fondness for anything Sailor Moon. And I can already forsee how some people will claim how Kousagi is the second daughter of Usagi in cannon universe (when it has already been made clear that Chibi-Usa is Usagi's only daughter in cannon timeline) and cause a whole lot of un-needed arguments and stuff.
The idea about Chibi-Usa and her senshi will be interesting to see though. Problem would be more of how Takeuchi writes up those episodes then.
As for the game I have not seen the game before, therefore I don't think I can form any opinion on this.

I would want to see what happened to the Sailor Starlights and Princess Kakyuu on their planet Kinmoku before they came to Earth. They only described how the planet was destroyed, but I want see what the daily life of Fighter, Healer, Maker, and Kakyuu was like. Maybe a few anime episodes that showed life on planet Kinmoku with the Starlights and then how the planet was destroyed and how they came to Earth to find Kakyuu. Just a background story.
Are they really reairing Sailor Moon??? (>_<)

I would love more than anything to see all the senshi in thier eternal outfits! it was such a shame it wasn't like this in the anime, it pulls together and unifys the series and the characters.
i'll edit if i think of more, but i can't really at the min!
- showing the elements of the castles on each planets is pretty cool too, and all the senshi in thier princess form. basically, keeping all those original ideas from the manga into it. like outer senshi in super s

What would I like? The entire Stars season- scrapped and redone. It made NO sense in the anime... and they left out all the cool stuff like Sailor Mnemosyne and Sailor Lethe... and Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon... They changed a lot of things, too. I'd like to see it closer to the manga and less "monster-of-the-day". I really didn't like Rei's anime incarnation as much either- she was much more mature in the manga. All in all, I'd just like some of the plot holes plugged. The animation suffered a bit in the S and SuperS seasons too. Personally I'm a big fan of the manga, and I'd really just like to see the anime do it justice. With 200 episodes, you'd think there would be no real reason to leave out things that were in the manga. Barring that, I'd love to see the side stories animated and "Ami-chan no Hatsukoi" released here as well.
Also... I want the live-action and musicals subbed and released. :D

Wow those are really great ideas. I remember the dubbed show from when I was really little and then my cousin bought the last season on DVD so there is so much that I hadn't even heard about. I would love to see Usagi's second daughter hell I would like to see Usagi and Mamuru's wedding or something lol. I'm already psyched that they're bringing it back any of your idea's would probably give me a heart attack lol.

Haha I loved Sailor Moon back in the day! So many great memories man! I remember Bananas in Pajamas would come on after it. lol. I named my black stuffed animal cat after the cat Luna. Then me and my sister promised that if we got a real cat we would call it Luna. Sure enough we finally got one and her name is...you guessed it! Luna! Moony as a nickname. lol. Sorry I can't answer your question. Too busy with them memories!
