How do I deodorize plastic?
My son's sippie cup has absorbed juice smells. I always wash it after he's done, but it still smells like apple juice. I've already tried boiling it and I don't want to use any harsh chemicals. Does the smell mean bacteria can start growing in the plastic even after it's washed?

Yes there could be bacteria so soak it with white vinegar for 24 hours then soak it in 2 parts water to 1 part baking soda for 24 hours then run it through the dish washer

I have the perfect answer for you...and it's child safe! Ok I know the title on my blog says how to remove smoke smells, but girl this mixture will take the smell out of everything. It's also great to use when you're cleaning your fridge out. I'm going to post a link to my blog, then you'll see where it says "click here for step by step instructions."

You can put boiling water in the cup along with real vanilla and let it sit for a few hours. This also works for thermos and water bottles.
