Why does it sound like heaven is being sent to hell? What is wrong with the old heavens?

2 Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Yes 2 Peter 3:12 is revealing the day, after 5 months of judgment the  total annihilation of this earth and universe which will take place on OCTOBER 21,2011:

Destruction of this earth and universe will take place because the sins of mankind have brought on the judgment of God which is DEATH, TOTAL DESTRUCTION BY FIRE! 

13- Yes! We who are Jesus bought, await MAY 21, 2011 THE DAY OF OUR RAPTURE TO REIGN WITH JEHOVAH JESUS EVERLASTINGLY IN THE NEW HEAVENS AND THE NEW EARTH.
