While I would agree that the chaplains where my husband and I are stationed are useless, other chaplains do serve a purpose. They lead funeral services, provide emotional and spiritual support for all soldiers regardless of religion or lack thereof, provide support for the families of the soldiers, direct soldiers and their families to other resources, and are generally an advocate. A much-needed advocate.
And not all chaplains are Christians. Some aren't religious, but are merely theists.

Yes, by all means I was a soldier in the Army, during peace time. I was stationed in Hawaii for three years, it can get emotionally stressful in situations that a chaplain being around is a good person to talk to, in relieving stress from the military training. Sometimes soldiers have to embark on missions for weeks, having a chaplain in the field helps. Chaplains are officers and they deserve the rank that they are given.

Now it somewhat is in basic terms stupid for obtrusive motives already pronounced. And chaplains are no longer a clean progression, nor "phenomenon." Preachers, pastors, and chaplains have been with the U. S. protection rigidity because of the fact the creation of the U. S. protection rigidity. they are there for people who choose them.

They are there to offer comfort and prayer to soldiers who are believers and are away from their own pastor and church family. They have a right to have this available to them when they are away and serving.
