How do I move move money from one account to another?
I recently left the Army. I moved to a different state and set up a bank account here. How can I move most of the money from my old account to my new account here where I now live?

The most cost efficient way is to walk into the old bank, close the account, and walk out with a check.
Option B is to call them on the phone, and get the materials sent to you to close the account by mail.
Option C is to go to the new bank, and get some kind of wire draft to close your old account. However, I was surprised to find that the new bank charges money to receive money by wire. What a ripoff. If I had known, I would have waited for a regular check.
