Ninja kawasaki keeps acelerating itself why?
I have a ninja kawasaki ex-500 2001, and out of nothing the bike keeps opening the throttle by itself, it doesn't matters that I try to pull the throttle by hand, it keeps running at a very high rpm, also noticed the pipes coming out of the engine(downpipe) were very hot tot he point they were turning red by the heat. I cleaned the carbs a few days before putit all back and the bikes runned nicely. What could be causing this problem and how can I fixe it? Also the throttle cables open and close are new.

you routed the cable wrong and its to tight!

You have a manifold leak that needs to be corrected. It is causing the bike to run extremely lean. (hence the exhaust header pipes turning red). You may also have some internal carb problems-carbs temp. loading up on fuel etc
