no, i think that is dumb. I am a white sox fan, and our neighbors to the north do it all the time. i guess in a tradition setting like that, you kinda have to or else the other fans will not be pleased. but if i catch a ball at comiskey, im keeping it.

I know in Philly, if the opposing team hits a homer and you catch it, you better throw it back... and quickly...because the boos are loud and they let you know right away that you need to chuck that ball back! So yea, i would throw it back right away! Plus, afterwards, you get a bunch of cheers from the crowd for you lol

properly as quickly as i replaced into at this Blue Jays interest, the team replaced into pressuring this youthful guy to throw the opposing communities abode-run returned and then protection kicked him out. All he did replaced into throw it returned into the outfield close to Jose Bautista. the toddler did no longer hit any of the gamers with the ball. It replaced into humorous too simply by fact whilst they made him leave all people interior the outfield sections around me have been chanting "Rogers Sucks!" lol.

No I wouldn't no matter what player hit it!ALL teams Home runs are something to treasure!and I think the people who do that are sore fans no offense to them though! And It would most likey ruin that players day because they when they hit it out hey want to see a happy person go home with it and show brag about it and Note it was the player giving their best effort and players worked too hard for it that ball to go back on the field !

No. That is a tradition that was started by Cubs fans, only Cubs fans should do that. Now would I run out of the stands and beat up a Royals base coach, dammed right I would!
--And if you try to start the wave at US Cellular Field, then you should be taken out back and shot on site.

No way - in fact, I still have a ball I caught at the Metrodome. It was hit by Ron Kittle of the White Sox and he signed it for me the next day.

it all depends on the situation and who hit it.. i would love to catch a home run ball from anybody but my fan pride would take a pretty big hit if i kept a cubs home run ball but if it was a walk off home run then i might try to sell it to a fan of that team and if i couldn't sell it then i would give it to a young fan

definitly keep it!
i mean, if it was a player's first ever home-run, i would definitly throw it back in, but anyways, i would keep it.
you never know when the next time you have an opportunity to catch a foul ball, HR ball, and type of ball in a baseball game, so keep it! :)

Gotta throw it back. Who wants a baseball that was hit in an effort to beat your team. Show off the gun too.
