If Republicans would lie about Obama's citizenship, wouldn't they also lie about health insurance reform?

Although they are characterized that way, most Republicans and other conservatives do not hang on the word of Sara and Rush. The Death Panelers and Birthers and not the majority. They are a fringe group of loonies. Saying they are what all Republicans believe is like saying that every Democrat is a member of ACORN and Code Pink.

No, ObamaCare will not institute death panels, subsidize abortion, take over the hospitals or any of that stuff. However, it will create unfair competition (the government does not have to turn a profit). It will lead to an overall stagnation or even decrease in the quality of care. Also, many of the framers and supporters of ObamaCare have previously publicly stated that they support things like single payer and socialized medicine. The government rarely stops where it says it will.

And yes, Obama is a citizen. I never doubted that.

The first lawsuit brought up about Obama's citizenship was initiated by a Democratic lawyer, Phillip Berg, in PA. He was a Hillary supporter. He started the whole thing. Look it up. If he wouldn't have done it, nobody would have questioned Obama's citizenship.

Nobody knows the truth about the health care because there isn't even a final bill. I wish Palin would never have used that term but the fact is the Democrats have removed the section that she was referring to from the bills.

Most people are not against health care reform. They just don't want the government handling it. Our population is too large for it to be done efficiently and it will go broke within a few short years and then it is meant to become single payer. Several democrats have admitted this and the wording in HR3200 leaves no room for doubt.

If the government wants to do something about health care, they can set guidelines for the medical institutions to create better efficiency that would save a lot of money and make the whole process better for everyone. They should make the drug companies stop charging the US twice as much as any other country. They can allow insurance sales across state lines. They can make laws so that it is illegal to refuse to sell insurance based on preexisting conditions and illegal to cancel someone's insurance except in the case of fraud. They can set limits for awards in law suits. They don't have to become insurance providers.

I agree with you on some of the things that have been said, like the death panel thing, I don't believe that should be put in the bill at all, I would like to think that part should remain between you and your doctor if you decide you would like to discuss it. The thing about having a public option is what I don't agree with, and that is because if the US Gov. controls any part of it you know as well as I do that a lot of companies will dump medical insurance that they now give to people who work for them because of the cost, that means the workers will eventually go to the public option and if enough of us go to the public option there goes the insurance companies, they can not compete with the Govs. unlimited funds as we all know. So what does that leave us? Yes that's right only one insurance to get have and that would be the Gov.

There is still a question when Obama won't release a real birth certificate. A certificate of live birth isn't the same. Also, of course the government will own the hopsitals, doctors, and nurses. How else will they be able to run a healthcare system? Obamacare manages and rations healthcare. I think the public knows the Democrats are lying when they say it isn't. As for the death panels, I guess Sarah Palin was right. Now the Dems say they are taking the Death Panel section out of the plan.

The "birther" movement was begun by Democrats - namely the head of the DNC in Pennsylvania.

The "death panel" provision has been removed from the bill and now even some Democrats are saying that yes, there might be some rationing that would affect seniors. Please consider that Rahm Emmanual's brother advocates euthansia for seniors. Until there is a provision that the mandatory "end of life" discussions can not affect coverage, it is "reasonable for seniors to be concerned" (quote from a D congressman).

Government won't take over actual hospitals (yet) but if the government determines who can be treated, who can treat them, what treatments can be used and how much will be paid for each treatment, it's essentially fascist (go look it up).... which is a defacto government takeover.

I suggest that you read H.R. 3200 and ask yourself exactly what each item means and how it could be used.

Asking if the GOP lies about health reform is like asking if water is wet.

And yes, both parties lie sometimes. But with the GOP it's much worse. Their lies get thousands dead in Iraq, and god know how many dead here in the US from lack of health care. All for their defense and health industry puppet masters.

I think it is interesting that liberals believe that the insurance companies are spending money to discredit Obama care. When you look at it the government regulates the health care insurance companies. The government regulates auto insurance co. The government regulates all companies in the united states and controls what they can do over sea. So tell me why we would need government controlled health care for more than medicare when the government already Controls it. There is only one reason why the leaders Government would threaten the Insurance companies that it to force them to contribute to the leaders and it happens all the time. So take a close look at what your trying to protect.

A lie by the Republicans would be saying"Obama was born in Hawaii". That would be a lie. A lie would be"Obama has no lobbyist". A lie would be "no, Obama hasn't doubled the National Debt". A lie would be "yes, Obama pays the taxpayer to take Air Force1 on his date night". Get real.

i dont get why people make such a big deal over whether obama is a citizen or not. like it doesnt affect anything, its just a title. and he's an american now which is all that matters. i really dont care, it doesnt affect the things he does
