Cat had kittens! Is she dieing?

My cat had her third litter of kittens a few hours ago! It is 2am. if the vet was open and if i had money i would take her to the vet! I don't get paid till next week! 2 of her kittens were born with their large intestine on the outside of their bodies! the other 2 are really healthy. i am used to her purring and panting for a while after but she is acting really strange! panting really hard, threw up everything in her stomach. she left the kittens to go downstairs and hide behind the tv and my other male cat is really freaked out and keeps crying and grabbing at her neck! I was wondering if this could be a sign that there is something really wrong with missy (mother cat) or that she is dieing!!!???

What you're describing sounds pretty serious to me. It's not normal for the mother cat to leave the kittens to go hide somewhere shortly after giving birth. I'm not a vet, so I can't really tell you what's wrong, and I'd feel horrible if I even attempted a guess that turned out to be incorrect and may do more harm than good. So, even though it's the middle of the night, you need to find a way to get treatment for her. I realize that even though 24-hour emergency vet hospitals exist in some areas, those kinds of facilities actually don't exist in most areas, and since I don't know where you live, I don't even know if that's an option for you. But if it is, you need to take your cat there (or at least call them and ask what to do). If there's no emergency vet in your area, you need to call your vet's office, even though it's after-hours. You should hear a recorded message that will give you a number to call in case of emergency -- and then you should call immediately.

I really hope that everything turns out OK for Missy and the kittens. One way to avoid such an emergency again is to have her spayed as soon as possible.

    Good luck with this!

First, you obviously shouldn't be breeding. It's apparent you're not a reputable breeder ...let alone a responsible owner.

You let your cat have three litters...are you aware of how many

cats die in shelters each year because of overpopulation?

Did you even take your cat in for prenatal care while she was pregnant?

    I'm guessing not.

Obviously your cat needs to see a vet. The kittens as well.

Many vets have payment plans and "the vet not being open" is not a excuse...there are emergency clinics and hospitals for these types of situations. None of us our vets so, you're wasting your the time you could use consulting a emergency hospital.

If your cat survives, I suggest getting her spayed after the kittens are weaned...which is what your should of done before the three litters. If you can't afford the vet, you shouldn't have the pet. If you can't afford these situations or won't look into alternatives into getting them the medical care they need...then you're better off surrendering them to a no kill shelter or finding them a appropriate home.

Below is a description of a reputable breeder. I suggest you stop breeding since you don't apply to it.

Emergency vet NOW. As in RIGHT now. Money or no money, I dont think a (good) vet will turn away an animal that desperately needs help.

She may well be dying, and the deformed kittens will almost certainly die. This is what happens when you are irresponsible and don't get your cat spayed and let it outside to roam. You'll have to get them to a vet right away, and get the mother cat spayed! And put the male cat away. Get him neutered as well!

According to your profile you are the expert at helping animals deliver their litters. As such you KNOW that this cat should be at a vets office right now.

take her to the vet now!

most if not all vets will make a payment plan for cases like this

they will die if you dont!

and get her fixed, we don't need anymore kittens in the world

were their are thousands that needs home already
