Honestly at one he is going to like the box better than the toy that came in the box.

My advice to you would be to get him a toy truck from walmart or what not and then either open him a savings account or get him a savings bond. The savings bond will do him a lot of good as he gets older.

If you must buy him a present. I would go with age appropriate things. If he isn't walking yet get him a push toy. or get him a little ride on toy.

My niece has one of these and LOVES it. She plays with it every day for a little while. Although she is now almost 3. she got it for her 1st christmas. She was 13 months old at the time.
