Question about the defination of "100% disabled."?

It is misunderstood more than it is understood. It is a terminology fraught with errors used ONLY by the Veteran's Administration. It refers to 2 things. 1. The degree to which a disability prevents a person from working. 2. The degree to which that disability can be attributed to their service in the military.

A person can be found physically unable to work or psychiatrically unable to work - and to receive benefits cannot work. Or a person can be found to currently be unable to work, but expected to improve, but might not, and if they do work, their benefit level will be reestablished.

A person can be totally unable to work and not be 100% disabled if the reason they are disabled is not 100% attributable to their military service. (Preexisting condition made worse by military service would never be 100%.)

A person can be less disabled than the person above, but be totally unable to work and it is entirely due to their military service and so they are 100% disabled.

Really 100% disabled really mean you can't do anything at all if you want a job but ... as me I am not 100% disabled but I can do many things but lot of hearing men refused to put me into higher position of higher jobs.

So , do I have to flip the Burger for the rest of my life?

But I don't feel like I am disabled at all but they think like that it is because it is my area but you are may not be like mine.

I do support people who are 100% disabled that can't not work then ALL THE WAY SUPPORT THEM !

Basically it means you are for some reason unable to gain or hold gainful employment. That you can no longer support your self do to conditions beyond your control.

Then there's the money. You can only get so much and if they can whittle it down they will.

I am 100% disabled. No one would hire me. If they so the meds I take their insurance Co. would have me carried off the property so I couldn't fall and sue them. If they did I wouldn't last a month before either my patience or my body quit.

On top of that I have a 20% disability for Diabetes. So 120%. Doesn't get me more money though. 100% of the money is all you can get. Get me? However 60% disability in one ailment can get you 100% of the money.

So I am actually 140% disabled and could get more. I get 100% of the money I can get from both SS and VA. So compared to some I get as much as 300%. Still not much.

I have a lovely little wife that is full of energy and live in warm weather year round with a little rain and I'm 100% satisfied with my life of leisure. Sorry if that bothers you. LOL.

that is some of social security bull crap. if you are un able to work for one year. because of a disability you are 100 per cent disable.

As a disabled individual, you don't have to be in a vegetative state to be 100% disabled. you can be completely blind and be considered 100% disabled.

The meaning of "100% Disabled" is "What type of Disability benefits that a Disabled PWD Veteran will receive from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

When you can't work to support yourself. This covers a wide area. If a man has a bad back and the only work available is loading trucks, he can't do that obviously. He is then rated as disabled.
