To Be or Not to Be. What kind of question is that?

I am lately finding my life in sheaves of paper stored

some seem most organized, others scattered on my writing room floor.

Scraps, and fluff and useless random stuff most would likely say,

erratic, often unfinished notes in a life lived day to day.

Odd those pieces most unfinished, questionable words and lines

left laying about looking like trash, as if I didn't have time,

to complete a thought, or my time was bought, often otherwise

then slipped away unspent for other pursuits is mostly what I surmise.

Perhaps it is a writers lot to scribble while they scrambled

to it's end in many respects it will seem like I merely rambled.

When my works lie gathering dust, yellowing pages old

I wonder if the world might know I had a story to be told?

Update:

Thank you both #1 and #2. I'll take your thoughts and considerations under advisement.

I wonder if after 40 plus years of making money from writing, if it is I who have been duped, or those who bought my work? I'll have to ponder that as I write my next piece.

Update 2:

Hi Fluff and thank you. I believe you already have a copy of works I'm included in and you make a good point or two. I knew since I was 5 what I wanted to do, and have worked at it for 60 years. I also know that Y/A and the poetry category can be one of the most degrading places to visit, and I was insane to post.

Update 3:

Ah my sweet fluff, you offer such gentle stuff when I feel I'm falling into the rough. Hugs and thanks.

Update 4:

Hey Palmer, How be ye.

I'm finding humility is the path to humble and so I stumble, not always in futility. TY for the notion. Good to see you.

    Me thinks your Q is more of a statement. ;)

    Your life is comprised of all those fluffs and fragments. So, how 'bout you take all your fluffs and random writings, put them together in one of those blank books / journals, and hand it down for posterior's sake ;) Or... jot down the lines in said book and expound (as I know you love to do) on each. You know there's not much money to be made with poetry these days, those silly little self published books are worth about the paper they're printed on, monetarily, but could be treasures to those that love you.

    You have a very suave and savvy knack for writing. I wish you could discover a venue where it would be most appreciated, or it would find you!

    Btw, where can I buy your book? ;)

    The slings and arrows of outraged Fortunatos cannot mar

    The worth of a life;

    Fluff and scraps and scribblings are passages marking the journey

    through strife

    And ease, and love, and endeavor;

    They will last in souls forever.

    Let your laughter fly

    above the stable--

    Sound your yawp as long as you're able.

    'Scraps, and fluff and useless random stuff most would likely say'

    It doesn't exactly flow. The line quoted is probably the best summary.
