Now That The Healthcare Push Has Died With Ted Kennedy...?

Is anybody going to tell the "greedy geezers" the ugly truth? That the "Obamacare" they're terrified of is nothing compared to the way the Repubs will simply allow the insurance companies to pick Medicare and Medicaid apart from the inside, junking them for cash the same way mechanics sell off useless cars for scrap, until nothing is left?

The insurers have been picking hardworking people's pockets for years now, why shouldn't they get a go at disabled and seniors?

I'm just waiting for the day when the insurance companies go to the government looking for a bailout; the system as it is is unsustainable. As the population ages, there will be more and more people getting dropped as the risk rises, and the insurers will be less and less able to squeeze more profits from people as they approach retirement, or become sick.

The insurance companies will soon start demanding blood samples for DNA analysis, to protect themselves from possible clients with genetic defects that would require treatment later on. In other words, a whole section of the population will be denied insurance completely. People will be discriminated against with something that's even more intimate than their skin color or ethnicity - their DNA. It's not long in coming.

hopefully some kind of bill (without the public option) will pass and hopefully if republicans get a majority in 2010 or 2012 they will come up with something to stop the insurance companies treating patients like a commodity. but i don't think the bill is dead yet...

first, your assertion that health-care has died is abit premature. you've got kennedy clones running the senate and the house so give me a break. what's died with this man is the truth of what happened when he left mary jo kopechne in that car to drown. oh, he'll get all the accolades and praise from friends and media. the best senator ever. only cared for the poor and downtrodden. and there will be the usual tears from family and from all his misguided followers. and mr. kennedy lived a long life. unlike, mary jo!!

The kernel of truth in your inane question is "The Healthcare Push Has Died With Ted"

The rest of it is just fluff.

No it isn't dead yet. People will get sentimental and say "Let's pass this for good old Teddy" and try to push it through my manipulating emotions. Just watch.
