Gov. Sarah Palin's signature accomplishment — a contract to build a 1,715-mile pipeline to bring natural gas from Alaska to the Lower 48 — emerged from a flawed bidding process that narrowed the field to a company with ties to her administration, an Associated Press investigation shows.

Beginning at the Republican National Convention in August, the McCain-Palin ticket has touted the pipeline as an example of how it would help America achieve energy independence.

Despite Palin's boast of a smart and fair bidding process, the AP found that her team crafted terms that favored only a few independent pipeline companies and ultimately benefited the winner, TransCanada Corp.

And contrary to the ballyhoo, there's no guarantee the pipeline will ever be built; at a minimum, any project is years away, as TransCanada must first overcome major financial and regulatory hurdles.

Jerry Springer would be more in touch with reality, than that of Sarah, not to mention the intellect.

I would Springer because he has More Experience and Better Self Control then Sarah.

I'd choose Jerry Springer, hands down. Although Springer cannot run for President because he was born in London of refugee parents who were fleeing Nazi Germany, he is highly qualified to be either a Senator or a Congressman, and based on his background my guess is he would much prefer to be Senator. Sarah Palin is about 89% unqualified to hold political (elected) office with any degree of competence. Springer has worked in a prestigious law firm, has been involved in politics most of his adult life, and has both the intellect (unlike Palin) and the temperament (unlike Palin) to both hold and do well in elected office.

Jerry Springer is a college graduate with an advanced degree, having a BA in Poli-Sci and a JD from Northwestern University. He has served successfully as Mayer of a large city (Cincinnati, Ohio), after first serving on City Council and winning reelection. His experience is vast, from reporter and commentator on NBC to having his own radio "Springer on the Radio" show, and hosting his own wildly popular (and often eruptive) "Jerry Springer" show on television. The TV show gives him valuable experience in handling (or mediating) outrageous behaviors, thus preparing him well for any work in the Senate of Congress (which I'm told is similar to trying to "herd cats")...lol. He went on "Dancing With The Stars" to learn the waltz in time for his daughter's wedding ("family values") and lasted seven full weeks at his advanced age, showing stamina, determination, and the ability to stick with a task (something Palin has demonstrated she is unwilling to do, having resigned as governor with a full one and a half years left in her term).

Palin, on the other hand, went to college on a beauty pageant scholarship and changed colleges five times in a six year period before completing a BS degree in Communications, with an emphasis on Journalism (note that it took her six years to complete a first-level degree). Her ambition at the time was to be a sportscaster. In 1992, Palin was elected to Wasilla, Alaska's city council (pop. 5,469 at the time), by a 530 to 310 vote. Was re-elected in 1995 (413 to 185), but (like her governorship) did not finish her second terms, after deciding to run for (and be elected as) mayor in 1996 and she stayed mayor of this small town for two more times. According to Wasilla City Council members, Wasilla had no debt when Palin became mayor, but had a $25 million debt when she left, and the budget expenditures rose by 33% on her watch, while the taxes rose by 38%. As Governor of Alaska, she has had 16 ethics complaints filed against her, and she mysteriously left office early for no real reason other than she "couldn't stand the heat" and, according to the father of her daughter Bristol's out-of-wedlock child, she had received a lucrative offer for a book deal. Palin is a media whore who regularly and routinely pimps out her kids in order to score a few more hits of media attention---so greedy for attention that even Republicans shunned her for New York fundraisers. She could not name the THREE partners of NAFTA (thinking there are only two), could not even cite a newspaper or book she's read for Katie Couric, told Katie Couric that she had foreign policy experience by virtue of being "neighbors to Russia and Canada"---the woman should be NOWHERE NEAR elected office!

Jerry Springer would win based on experience alone.

Governors Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and George Bush had the same experience as Sarah Palin.

Except as Commander in Chief of the 49th Missile Defense Battalion of Alaska National Guard Sarah Palin had more experience than Governors Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and George Bush as she was routinely briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counter terrorism?

Going into the 2008 election Sarah Palin had a higher classified security rating than Obama or Biben.
