If your favorite player retired today, do you think you would find a new favorite or would it never change?

For me, I'm not really sure, it will be tough to not have Griffey playing anymore. I mean, I have other players I like a lot, but I don't think it will be anything like Ken Griffey Jr.

Update:

Rangers: I'm not sure what you are getting at. Lol

With out Halladay, I and many Jays fans would probably be lost, retiring or not. But I could bounce back and find a new favorite.

I don't know yet, I'm hoping Jose Reyes doesn't retire for another 10 years or so. The way things are going for the Mets though, ya never know. I would probably pick another favorite player, but I'll always keep Reyes in my heart and be his number 1 fan. I just can't have a primary favorite player that is retired. I want to see them play. Unless their out for the whole year like Jose is.

Griffey is one of my favorite players also. And when he does retire I don't think I will find anyone to replace him. But doesn't mean I'm not going to be fans of other players as well.

I once was a big fan of Barry Larkin of the Cincinnati Reds that retired, so then I had to find another red to love. Loved Griffey when he was here, but now I enjoy Brandon Phillips.

I shriek at the thought of Tim Lincecum retiring today. If he did retire for whatever reason i would have to go with Madison Bumgarner. He would have to be the new Lincecum.

What would i do without Roy Halladay?! lol Aww i'd be sad that I wouldn't get to see him pitch ever again and the fact that he only got one cy young :P. Would i change? hmmm i think i would just add on. Roy Halladay will be on my list with Lou Gehrig as my favorite baseball players ever.

I know the day will be coming soon when Derek Jeter will retire, he will always be my favorite, but whats wrong with having another favorite? Melky Cabrera is also a favorite of mine.

I don't see Jorge Cantu retiring anytime soon, but I can relate as it was tough when Larry Walker hung up the spikes.

Nope - once my favorite player , ALWAYS my favorite player.

I mean, i would probably find another player that i like alot - but Jason Bartlett is forever my favorite player, regardless if he retired.
