Do the different religions worship different gods?

Or do they worship the same god in different ways? Or is there only one god that has reached out to different groups in different ways?

i think there is just one God that different people worship in different ways. though religions might be totally foreign, it's quite possible that even the most opposite religions are really worshiping the same God, just in a different interpretation, if you take my meaning.

I would have to say so.

Monotheistic religions, well, maybe they are all worshiping the same god. Like the Christian god and the Islamic god seem the same to me.

But in Hinduism and Wicca, two different polytheistic religions, their varieties of gods/goddesses are quite different.

As in, the Hindus have Shiva and the Wiccans have a moon goddess.

The Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Islam, Judaism) all worship the same God, but in different ways (with different names, AKA: Yahweh/Jehovah, God/Jesus, Allah)

That pretty much covers the entire West, but in the East there are usually religions that either believe in many many gods or in none at all.

different. if you worship a God in different ways, you'll eventually run into some contradictions because each 'God' teaches something different. the true God is the Christian God.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the truth, the way, and the life. No one comes through the Father except through me."

Different Gods who have different Characteristics...people just assume its the same one called a different name...not true in the bible other people used to worship Baal, and God called that a false God and idolatry.

There is only 1 True God of Abraham.

Those who worship him can only do so in Spirit and Truth.

All gods are god. God is all gods. Each god represents an aspect of god. If you want god's protection you call upon god's willingness to protect. If you want god's loving you call upon god's willingness to love. His willingness to protect has a different name than his willingness to love, but it is the same god. Islam has 99 names for god. Judaism has 77. Christians have 3. Pagans have several hundred.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
