Did you have to wait for the hospital to call you on your day to be induced?

Question

I'm scheduled to be induced today. But I have to wait for the hospital to call me. My doctor said that they start calling people at 4pm. I was wondering if you had to wait on your scheduled day then how long did it take them to actually call you? She said that it depended on how fast the labor and delivery department was moving with patients and that it could even be in the wee hours of monday morning. I hope that I won't have to wait that long, but how long did it take for you?

Wow, from reading these answers I don't know what to think. But I do see that everyone was scheduled to be induced weeks before but for me it was only two days so maybe because of the short notice. You think?

No. I had my induction scheduled two weeks before it was to begin. Then I had to be at the hospital at 4 AM and the induction started at 5:30 AM
But every hospital has different policies.

All hospitals are different, but that does sound odd to me.  I got my date for induction a few weeks beforehand and had to be at the hospital maternity floor there between 6:00 and 7:00 am.  They got me hooked up to the IV and the pitocin, which began promptly at 7:30 am.  Good luck to you.

So basically the hospital dont have a room for you. Like your Dr said it just varies. It can take and hour to a day or two if there is no room.

i think my hospital if your going to be induced then you go in to the hospital that day and get induced between a set time

no my hospital u get ur date then thats it your in between 8 and ten in the morning.
