If conservatives really want limited government, why don't they join Ron Paul in his call to End the Fed?
http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/346...
Just look at all the problems the state and local governments (which don't have a printing press) are currently having. If we End the Fed, the federal government will also struggle to fund its programs, as it will be unable to steal enough gold through taxation to fund its myriad of programs.
If conservatives are serious about limited government, then why not join Ron Paul and the libertarians in opposition to the Federal Reserve. If we lived in a country where the government was not allowed to counterfeit money whenever it wants, we would not be able to afford anywhere near the current level of government, let alone the level of government that the current President wants.
Although there are other ways we could hinder big government (such as abolishing income tax withholding, which would require everybody to pay their full income tax to the government every April 15th and end the tax refunds that many people think are "free" money; if the people saw the true amount they pay in income tax, they would demand drastic tax cuts; another reform would be to hold general elections the day after Tax Day, which would ensure that taxes are always on the minds of the voters on election day), but by far the best way to stop (or even rollback) the growth of government would be to get rid of the Federal Reserve and restore gold as money.

i actual don't understand what has replaced plenty interior the GOP occasion the two. They was once conservatives. John McCain isn't that in the time of any respect in my thoughts...extra like a center of the line Democrat. i think of loads of why human beings do no longer 'settle for' Ron Paul's concepts is that folk often (the few who additionally be attentive to who he's) won't stand in the back of the dropping team. ordinary as that. NFL soccer is a superb occasion of this. followers persist with the winning communities. while replaced into the final time you seen somebody donning a 49ers jacket? while they have been winning Superbowls, each physique looked as though it could have one. the folk persist with what's 'in', and do what the television tells them to. i think of that maximum each physique is too lazy to learn, or understand who their vote casting for. they think of that this guy McCain could desire to truly have some thing going for him because of the fact he's commonplace, and the Republicans all picked him for president. no longer so, yet they are no longer getting it. no longer something like having media propeganda preserving up your platform. If the MSM hadn't buried Ron Paul's message, then I do have faith this could be a thoroughly distinctive election. yet like I heard on the Boise community television on the instant... ABC in simple terms offered UPN in this marketplace. ABC additionally owns 6 radio stations right here. How do you get any message out while the media helps an time table, and has administration over each thing you pay attention once you turn on the television, or radio? they gained't enable yet another Ross Perot to ensue. many human beings i be attentive to incorporate scared that if all Republicans do no longer all fall in line in the back of McCain, then Obama will win, and that they are in all probability precise. I chosen the lesser evil two times with Bush, and that i'm now no longer going to vote for a candidate because of the fact he's terrific of the worst. we've 2 of those worst ones back.

I think there's alot of conservatives who are with Ron Paul; the Republican Party consists largely of Republicans-in-name-Only. Believe me, there's plenty of people in this country who want limited government.

Exactly.
They want to end only any government that is considered left-wing.
They are so confused. While Paul is for limited gov't, he is anti-war and isolationist and that is considered left wing even though it really isn't.
But then again, Ron Paul himself is confused. He thinks that taking care of our infrastructure is important yet he is opposed to the stimulus. I think everyone is opposed to the need for bank bailouts, so he is not necessarily a radical in THAT sense. He is radical in the sense that he wants to exacerbate the cause and that he doesn't deem the bailouts necessary.

If they actually were for limited government. They and their families and friends would be out of jobs. So I don't really believe it when they spout this rhetoric.

The Fed has been forced into disclosure, and because of that are now threatening the government with consequences. It should be very interesting to see how this turns out. God bless.
