If you want to cut down on injuries, lose weight, just maintain a high fitness level, and increase your mileage by 10% every week, then slow running is for you. Also, you will find more people who will want to run with you. If you want to speed then you become a fast runner, but you may dramatically increase your injuries.

Both are just as good for you...it depends what your goal is.
Slow long distance is good cardio and helps build muscle.
Sprinters use quick motions and have more toned muscle definition, but again is a great cardio workout.
For best results, alternate your training...do mileage 3 to 4 days a week (1 day being your long run) and do a track workout at least once a week...You'll see your times on both drastically increase and you'll get the best overall health benefits...

Running is running. Jogging is running slow.
If I am chasing you jogging would do.
If I am ticked off Running would be better!
