Hamster bites.........?
I've heard that hamsters like to sit on their owners lap and watch (actually, LISTEN to) the TV. I'd like to give that a try but I've heard hamster bites really hurt! When I put my finger in there to talk to them they just lick it and playfully nibble. And taking them out is no problem. What I'm wondering is, If I let it crawl around will it just randomly chomp down? Do they mostly go for fingers?
Any information and tips is appreciated. Thanks.
I read about it so now I leave the TV on. Every time I come in they're both facing the TV and staring at it with great intensity. Haha.
They also seem very friendly so far! But I've only had them for a few days. However, they were previously owned so I think they're comfortable with humans.

Hi hamster bites DO hurt but they don't just randomly bite you for no reason they only bite if they are tired hungry angry upset or annoyed. So don't think they just bite they definetley don't!
Good luck with your hamster.
P.s if you can stand the pain of a hamster bite then please don't own a hamster!

I've never known of a hamster to like watching TV. And yes, hamster bites hurt. I'd rather be bitten by my rabbit any day. Most hamsters that are already friendly won't randomly chomp a finger. Make sure that there is no smell of food on your hands.

it depends on the temperment and things like that
my hamster, when it was young sometimes nibbled, but now about a year later, he does not do that anymore
