How do you battle with other players in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl?

What is a Friend Code?

Everyone has a friend code. If 2 players are close to each other then you don't even need to think about friend codes, you just go in any pokemon center, go upstairs and talk to the lady in the middle and she will let you into the union room. The union room is where players that are close together go in and do things like trade and battle. you can only have 2 pokemon that are level 30 there.

Also upstairs in the pokemon center the lady on the far right she will take you to a different sort of union room where it is best for battling. You get to have 3 pokemon and if you choose open level as one of your rules then you can have them up to level 100! (I think).

I'm far away from people to battle

If you are far away from each other then follow these instructions I made

1) Make sure you have a working BT Wireless Router (BTHomehub)

2) Then when you start up your game on the menu click Nintendo WFC Settings

3) Then click Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings

4) Click any of the 3 Connections (they should all say None if one or more say Ready click Erase Settings)

5) Click Search for a Access Point

6) It will say Searching for a Access Point

7) Once its done click your router (BTHomehub somthing)

8) If it says Enter WEP Key then look on your router for WEP Key and put it in

9)Then it will test the connection

10) If there is a button that says save settings click it

11) Go back to the game menu

12) Start the game

13) go the pokemon center

14) Go downstairs

15) Go into your bag, select key items and select pal pad

16) select register friend code (click 'your name's friend code to see your friend code)

17) put in your friends name then your friends code

18) speak to the lady in the middle

19) when she lets you in click yes

20) it will connect

21) congratulations!

Does it work in pokemon platinum?

How many pokemon can you catch individually in the game excluding trading and event

well thats a very hard question! it depends... are you talking about diamond and pearl or platinum

I have not played pokemon for 3 years so recently I heard there's a new game called Pokemon platinum and I wanted to know more about it. :)

Well its exactly the same as diamond and pearl except you get to enter a distortion world and battle giritina there its really cool! you can walk on walls, surf on waterfalls and other things.

also I think you would like to know there are two new games coming out called pokemon heart gold and soul silver. you can check on your pokemon without bringing a ds!

You can battle someone else using wireless communication when the other person is close by. You do this by going downstairs in a pokemon centre. You can also battle or trade with someone over Wi-Fi if you have their friend code and yours. A friend code is a code that you get when you go on Wi-Fi for the first time with your game. If someone else puts your friend code on his game, he can battle you over Wi-Fi. You need a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector to use Wi-Fi.

Yes, it works the same like Pokemon Platinum, but I would buy Platinum because there's more features and some different pokemon.

You can battle trainer from using the DS wireless communitcation or using Wifi(you will need a wireless internet or a nintendo usb connector at home)'

A friend code is 12 numbered which you give to another person if you want to challege them.You must added the other person friend code AND the other person must add your friend code to play wifi with your buddies.

Diamond,Pearl and Platinum can all connect each other.

You can get over 400 pokemon in one game without trading however lots of pokemon are rare to find.

A friend code is like your username for people to message you but in this case, to battle or trade pokemon. your friend is given to you once you go downstairs in a pokemon center, the women will give you a pal pad. To actually fight or trade other players you need Wi-Fi.

Okay battle except the Heracross should have used Close Combat against Blissey in the end to defeat it. Oh you just said that, lol. Also, the guy shouldn't use names like Marth and stuff from like other games and shows.
